I'm sorry. Bal newbee here. I've never owned a Balenciaga bag and am confused since they all kind of look alike to me. I went to Nordstrom and there was a black metallic edge city bag and a black city with standard gold hardware. The one on the gold hardware one had really distressed leather while the metallic edge city had shinier and smoother leather. Could someone please let me know what the difference in leather is? I really like the less distressed look but the price diff for the ME is a a few hundred dollars. Advice please? TIA!

Have you checked out HG Bags online? Erica cuts the prices of her bags by about $400. I don't know how she does it, but she does. Anyway, the ME leather will last longer-IMO. I love it, but it's all up to you.
