Is this elaborate LV scheme possible?

I'm going to reply to this, even though you were quite rude/shouting to me. I'm honestly not sure why the hostility.

I was PM'd and asked to try to help you. I looked at your authentication request, and this thread too. On page 2, I quoted you and replied that I didn't even see a heat stamp photo in your authentication request. (Basic photo needed.) I mentioned other photos that would be helpful, tips for finding the date code, and then I'm sure a qualified authenticator (whether here, myself, other authenticators or outside elsewhere) would be able to form an opinion. So no, as far as I can see so far anyway (unless I missed it in another post) you haven't posted all the photos you would need. If that's "scolding" I'm sorry you feel that way. But it seemed like you were ignoring the steps you'd need to do to simply solve this question for yourself, instead you're theorizing, assuming. It's a LOT of money and in spite of your opinion of me and perhaps others, we ARE trying to help you authenticate. Maybe you came into this forum with an expectation already, if that's what you heard about this site. Remember, you can't interpret attitude from written words.

the OP has stated there is NO heat stamp anywhere on the bag:

2. There is NO heat stamp or production code ANYWHERE on this bag.

I would like to offer you a heat stamp photo but there is not one on this purse and i did mention that. I did not ignore anyone. After the authenticator said I posted incorrectly, I apologized for my error and reposted all of the photos requested. I later commented that I thought I did it correctly but I apprently did this on the wrong thread and was scolded. Then they changed my account so that my posts were not visible until approved by admins first. I felt that was a bit harsh since I made a very innocent mistake. Then people went on to accuse me of trying to double post and on and on. I just feel odd about this . Not sure what else to say. I finally responded in all caps because of the accusation that I was 'trying to get someone to authenticate my purse on a secondary thread'. That was not what I was trying to do. I just wanted opinions on if people thought this scheme was plausible. I signed up 2 days ago because I read that this is the place to get your purse authenticated. I have been met with a few hostile people on here. I just don't feel comfortable on this forum I guess. Can I delete posts and account?

Ugh, I am so so sorry. I had no idea she was going to yell at you when I asked for your help to help her. There was no reason for her to respond to you like that! If she thinks we are all mean no point in helping her...I’m sorry I got you involved, I was just trying to help a member but didn’t expect her to be so mean to you for trying to help...:flowers:

I understand, navigating all this can be difficult and add the stress of the purchase... I'm sure it's been difficult. The heat stamp is not the date code though, it's actually the "Louis Vuitton made in..." marking? And did you look with a flashlight in the pocket lining for the date code? :-) Sometimes that's seriously what you need to do to see it, and it might be very faint. If no date code, at least I would gather better hardware pics, and the heat stamp, etc.. if you plan to contemplate keeping it at this point? I just saw your post that you're returning it.

I'm curious too what outside company you used to request a professional authentication. You may still get a reply soon if you gave them more photos than what I see here?

IM SORRY BUT I AM NOT DISGUISING THIS THREAD AS ANOTHER WAY TO AUTHENTICATE MY PURSE. I DID NOT POST ANY PHOTOS TO THIS THREAD. I WANTED OPINIONS OF OTHERS ON WHETHER THIS SCHEME SEEMED POSSIBLE. I have honestly gotten more rude crazy lady responses than anything else. I was scolded for replying to a comment improperly (SORRY- I just signed up 2 days ago, MY BAD) There are some power tripping crazy people on here and its insane the rules. I just want to delete my account already. But that looks impossible. UGH! You give em an inch of power on here, and they think suddenly they are the queen of England. Chill out ladies, its just a purse forum. Holy Sh*t!
I am not sure why you are yelling at an authenticator who is trying to help you. I actually pm’d her to try and help you with your request but insulting us is not going get members to help you...I’m sorry if you think you are getting rude or mean responses, I know there are posts here that are really just trying to help you...

Attached is a pic from Fashionphile of a bb python (assuming it’s authentic). It shows the spot where the stamp might be. Given its silver embossing on gray, it may be hard to see or partially rubbed off. Hth.

You're a sweetheart LVlvoe! I know it actually probably is all stressful/confusing for new members sometimes. And I was getting frustrated too. It's okay!

Listen, I finally responded in capital letters because she accused me of trying to post another thread outside of the authenticating thread. That is not the case. I had not posted any photos to this thread. And I just had enough of the catty bully atmosphere. Which is what is going on. All I wanted to do was post some pics and get some feedback about my situation.. But people chime in on here and get catty for no reason, so I got snappy back. Sorry. But I just would rather deal with this on my own from here. I am not a rude person but I do feel that this is not a place that I would benefit from. Can you kindly direct me on how to delete my posts and profile? The threads and rules to a new member are definitely confusing. Add a ton of different women telling you what you can and cannot post just adds another level of frustration.

For you to post a picture of the zipper outside of an authentication thread, asking for people's opinion does feel like it's a possible case of avoiding protocol. We cannot guess your situation without proper information provided. If you really cannot locate the heat stamp, rather than extrapolating some unlikely scenario of grand theft, it's better to just return the bag. You can get snappy, but that's not going to get you the assistance you're supposedly asking. All the authenticators are not paid; many have their own careers to attend to first.

I’m not an authenticator so I can’t authenticate your bag for you but that’s not the type of bag that fakers would usually do. Think about it. When a factory wants to fake a bag, they typically do the most popular bags (ie speedy, neverfull, etc.) because it takes money to get the pattern, leather, and hardware right. Speedy and neverfull is easy to churn as price point is “low”. It’s not cost effective to just do one off python bag. Now if you see tons of bags with same type of leather and shape floating on eBay, I would be very worry. I’ve not checked eBay but I’m assuming this type of python bag rarely pops up on eBay. Sure, if someone knows LV construction well, they can fake things with less effort but honestly your bag looks like too much work to fake as an one off. There are not that many people waiting to spend 6k on a bag on eBay. Imo, your bag looks doesn’t look fake. Again, I’m not an authenticator but logically speaking, I just can’t imagine someone faking a bag like that. I would just wait till for a professional authenticator to get back to you. Good luck.
Thank you for your reply! That does make sense. I kind of thought the same thing. But ya just never know these days. And since it was a 6k purchase, I def was hypersensitive to this issue. Honestly I expected better quality from a 10k bag. I was surprised at the flimsiness of the interior...Then my mind started wandering....But thanks again!

I added a pic of the zipper pull after someone had asked to see a close up of it. Not trying to be snappy. Just frustrated with the back and fourth.

:lol: this is really what attracted me to the thread in the first place. Such a ridiculous scenario/accusation!
