Is this elaborate LV scheme possible?

There is no date code on this purse. There is also a seam in the strap. Those are the 2 things that raised my suspicion to begin with. But I went to LV and they said not all purses have a date code and there can be seams with python print. The other thing that bothered me was the interior seemed more flimsy than the one on the show room floor. Like I can pull the lining out of the bag nearly. But LV said not all purses are 'made the same' and this was 'made by an individual person'. I'm just extra paranoid because it was a large purchase. The purse retails for 10k. And I def. don't want to pay several thousand dollars for a fake. The LV manager did not mention that it looked fake but she was also very rude to me and when I mentioned the seam in the purse strap, she told me that this is from wearing the purse. I was shocked at her blatant incompetence. It's clearly a seam where new material was started.

LV doesn’t authenticate items you purchased on the secondary market, so I imagine the manager wouldn’t say one way or the other if your bag looked fake.

Be patient & wait for someone to verify for you one way or the other, or return the bag.

saw your post in the authentication forum. Not an authenticator here, but just wanted to note that the pic of your zipper pull (could have been the pic) stood out to me. Maybe compare it to the one in the store - specifically the stamp.

Not implying anything, just making an observation (imo) based off of your picture.

I'm just hoping someone can give me any clues to the authenticity. So far no responses and I have also paid a 'professional authenticator company' to review it and they have not responded to my request yet either. Kinda frustrating.

I think you're reaching with this thread's scenario because you're currently stressed about your purchase. I peeked and didn't even see a heat stamp photo in your request, without that and the date code no one will be able to confidently review the bag. The company you used will probably ask you for more photos. Clearer pics of the closures, all hardware, rings etc.. too. I'd recommend taking a flashlight to the lining inside the pocket.. sometimes with the graining of the lining the date code can be VERY difficult to see.

Do you think it would be possible for a Louis Vuitton employee to print receipts from several client profiles for various bags and then go buy those replica bags online and sell them as authentic with a receipt. If you question it, they have the client info showing a purchase for that bag, which would come up as indeed purchased in LV's system..... Does this sound far fetched or totally possible?
I'm going to go back to basics with a few questions if you will indulge me.......

Did you buy this item based on the images in the auction listing alone?
Did you request an authentication prior to buying if buying pre-loved makes you this nervous?
Where did the receipt printing scenario come from?
Which professional authentication service did you use?
If you can't provide all the required information, no authentication service worth their salt will be prepared to offer an option. And, in all honesty, would you want an opinion based on half the required information?

As an aside, LV staff are not trained to authenticate. They are trained to sell. I wouldn't trust a random LV SA with this; they might have only been there a week. Some senior staff members may authenticate from time to time for known customers. It's not a service they are obliged to offer and nor should they - you're taking new business away from them in buying pre-loved (I have nothing against pre-loved, just explaining it from LV's point of view.)

You paid over 6k for a bag without getting in authenticated first and the seller only had one feedback and hasn't even been selling on ebay for a year??

Now that doesn't many anything regarding the authenticity of the bag, it's just not really a smart practice. A bag at that price would not sell right away so you had plenty of time to get the required pics and submit before purchase.

Definitely wait to hear back from the authenticators and remain calm, if the bag is fake you'll get your money back, no problem.

And no way any employee is doing the scheme you mentioned. They could easily sell their own authentic items they purchased with their discount for a profit, no need to do any scams

That said, there are cases of people making purchases and selling counterfeits with those receipts or then returning a counterfeit.

Ok, let's not cause mass hysteria. This is a very common fear of new buyers and so far I have never heard of anyone successfully returning a fake bag with a real receipt to Louis Vuitton.

Now other contemporary brands at department stores, I can believe it because I don't think those SAs carefully check the bags. A woman was arrested for returning over 1million worth of fakes to TJ Maxx. https://www.washingtonpost.com/loca...770fdbf7bb5_story.html?utm_term=.5311fae63530

Sorry, didn't mean to. Just was trying to empathize with the OP.

They sell these brands ONLINE! Gucci, Balenciaga, Louboutin, Ferragamo and etc. I learned that from TPF. The Runway locations will have some of these brands in-store. Search under the runway section onilne and you will be amazed!

Yes the two T's do run together on the louis vuitton zipper pull. That pic is accurate.
1. I bought the bag because a receipt was provided. I called LV and confirmed the customer information on the receipt matched a client profile in their system and showed that a python bag was purchased.
2. There is NO heat stamp or production code ANYWHERE on this bag.
3. The interior feels flimsy in comparison to another python bag in the LV store but this bag is 2 years older..
4. I felt like I could take a chance and buy this purse since there was a receipt and I know ebay has a great return policy regarding inauthentic goods.
5. I just wonder if this person bought a real lv python bag and then sold a knockoff to me and kept the real one. I just wonder because of the few things I have already mentioned. I came here to seek advice and I paid a company to review it. So far, 48 hours later, I have not gotten a response from an authenticator or the company I paid to review it (sent them 24 photos, can't imagine that is not enough!) But thats fine. I would like to believe its real but I don't want to make a $6,000 guess! So thats why I am here...
