Is this elaborate LV scheme possible?

5. I just wonder if this person bought a real lv python bag and then sold a knockoff to me and kept the real one.

this is definitely a possibility. This sounds like a really awful situation. If it turns out to be a replica, the seller may try to claim you are the one trying to pull the switch on them. I am not sure how EBAY deals with a situation like this. Not trying to add to your frustration. It's premature, but maybe call them and tell them the situation while you are waiting for it to be authenticated? Better to be safe.

So far, 48 hours later, I have not gotten a response from an authenticator or the company I paid to review it (sent them 24 photos, can't imagine that is not enough!) But thats fine. I would like to believe its real but I don't want to make a $6,000 guess! So thats why I am here...

Again, which company did you use? Many members here have used lots of the services which may help you contact them to prompt a response and ease your anxiety one way or another. At the moment, you're sat in limbo. And you could send 50 photos but if they're not the right ones or of poor quality then more will be requested, by reputable services anyway.

Yes the two T's do run together on the louis vuitton zipper pull. That pic is accurate.
1. I bought the bag because a receipt was provided. I called LV and confirmed the customer information on the receipt matched a client profile in their system and showed that a python bag was purchased.
2. There is NO heat stamp or production code ANYWHERE on this bag.
3. The interior feels flimsy in comparison to another python bag in the LV store but this bag is 2 years older..
4. I felt like I could take a chance and buy this purse since there was a receipt and I know ebay has a great return policy regarding inauthentic goods.
5. I just wonder if this person bought a real lv python bag and then sold a knockoff to me and kept the real one. I just wonder because of the few things I have already mentioned. I came here to seek advice and I paid a company to review it. 1. I'm actually quite surprised they gave you this information
2-3. Again, wait to hear back from the authenticators.
4. Receipts mean NOTHING, if you can fake an entire bag, imagine how easy it is to fake a receipt. A receipt, tags, dustbag, box and any of the "extras" should not factor into whether or not something is authentic. I've seen real items with fake dustbags on ebay.
5. Now this seems more likely than the SA scenario.

BE PATIENT, you'll get a response. Just take a moment and breathe. You'll get your money back if it's fake. But never, ever buy a bag without confirming authenticity first, especially one this expensive!

Whoa, I'm sorry. Not to undermine any other comments or guesses on authenticity but you are not showing all of the required photos for authentication on this site yet, to my knowledge. And to guess and ask for opinions from others, starting new authentication threads disguised as something else, without just simply getting ALL the required photos posted (or on a photo hosting site w/ link) and have it authenticated in the appropriate thread here, is just not the way to go to ease your mind.
:confused1:

IM SORRY BUT I AM NOT DISGUISING THIS THREAD AS ANOTHER WAY TO AUTHENTICATE MY PURSE. I DID NOT POST ANY PHOTOS TO THIS THREAD. I WANTED OPINIONS OF OTHERS ON WHETHER THIS SCHEME SEEMED POSSIBLE. I have honestly gotten more rude crazy lady responses than anything else. I was scolded for replying to a comment improperly (SORRY- I just signed up 2 days ago, MY BAD) There are some power tripping crazy people on here and its insane the rules. I just want to delete my account already. But that looks impossible. UGH! You give em an inch of power on here, and they think suddenly they are the queen of England. Chill out ladies, its just a purse forum. Holy Sh*t!

Hi, it wasn't OP, I asked. Sorry.

Hi there, TPF is really actually a great community of purse enthusiasts. I'm sorry if you felt scolded, I guess I might be in the "crazy lady" batch, but I was trying to helpful.

The authenticators are providing a free service on a volunteer basis, they are not paid at all and they receive a high volume of requests. On the first page of the authentication forum it lists the required format to authenciate. If your post is in the right format with the required pics you will hear back and if it's fake you know that ebay will refund you. GL!

Well, that's something then. I'm glad they're not giving information out as and when asked. What made you think of the receipt printing scenario then?
Because there is record of a purchase for a python bag under her account. So I figured she could have kept the original and sold a fake online all the while showing proof it is "real". It is so hard to explain I guess, but it doesn't feel like the python in the LV store. The scales on theirs were more dry and flaky. This one feels softer. The Interior leather on this one literally comes out when I pull on it. The one in the store is secured in place and their leather feels thicker. The strap on the one in the store has no seams, but this one does. This purse also leans to one side. I honestly think this is a fake.

I understand. I finally submitted a post with the required photos but did not get a response. I assume they ghosted me as I have read on other sites that some of the women on here are very rude and the culture is like the movie Mean Girls. LOL. I am not sure I fit in. I buy alot of LV bags but never an exotic print. I feel like I have a good grasp on identifying fakes but when it comes to animal print, I am not familiar totally.

Then just open a case on ebay and you'll get a refund. Sometimes ebay requires proof, sometimes they don't. But at least this way you'll get the process started so you can get your money back faster.
