Is this a defect, is this normal for this Chanel item?

I would reach out to your SA but based on comments on this forum so far, I think they might charge you the new price. I’m sorry to see this. I have the same problem with my WOC too but it happened after a few months and I would be annoyed to see it on a new bag. It hasn’t worsened over time (if that brings comfort) but I might try to get it repaired at some point.

I have reached out to the SA and am waiting for a response. She is not particularly responsive unfortunately. It’s good to know yours hasn’t worsened.

I purchased a small 19 right before the price increase, but noticed a popped stitch on the side. See below. Have you experienced any popped stitches similar to this and have they worsened over time with use? I’ve contacted the SA to see if I can get a replacement without paying extra given this is a quality issue, but I’m not sure that’s possible. Do you all know if this is more cosmetic? Would you all keep it in this situation? I did include the information in the other Is this a Defect thread as well. Thanks in advance!

Is this popped or is it frayed? If the stitch is secure, they can trim that down. When I zoom in, I see the stitch is in place.

I think you are right! I thought it was missing at first, but it is frayed. I don’t live near a store. Should I try to trim it myself?

I would first call the boutique to see what they can do. Otherwise, do you live by a Neiman’s or Saks? They usually have great tailors on site. You could have one double-check the thread to make sure it’s secure.

The SA asked me to send the bag back and said they will check the bag. She said she doesn’t have the same bag right now. Sounds more like a return at this point.

I am new to Chanel and recently brought my first piece, an iridescent lambskin cardholder from the 23C collection.
I've literally only put cards two times to see how many can fit, but I notice a few creases already at the time. I know it makes sense to have creasing with use, but is it normal so early on?

Take a look at the picture, the biggest crease is on the left and there are some in the middle. Would caviar hold up better? It's also my first piece - is the stitching good?

I dont see any flaws or creases in your picture? My cardholders are all caviar leather and I don’t see any creases with use yet. I don’t have any lambskin SLGs so I cannot review how they hold up.

I see the crease, but I think it's normal, and it certainly wouldn't bother me. It's a gorgeous color, and I would just put your cards in and enjoy it! Congratulations!

It strikes me that the iridescent finish might make these creases more apparent to you visually, but this looks normal to me and you find this creasing on cardholders. Leather just does this. I would use and enjoy. Stunning little piece!

I appreciate everyone and their response! I was probably just overthinking it since it's my first Chanel piece. Excited to use it, it fits much more than I would have thought!
