Is the pochette Métis a great bag for travelling and holidays?

I found this so useful for your Keepall XS review for tropical travel     I did a beach footpath walk with my yellow keepall xs, and it was so fun! Though yours no doubt would be more carefree given the black leather and the darker canvas material! Thanks for your great review!
A beachside walk with your yellow keepall xs would be Devine! Such a gorgeous summers day. If only we can get some sunshine and away with the rain ans gloomy weather. How’s you’re new white strap coming along? So happy they exchanged for you a new better one reasonably fast too!

I haven't used it yet with this weather but so far so good! I do tend to baby this bag more now, ever since the strap issue- think the white leather is a little more high maintenance, though such a happy bag ! It has probably put me off the Sac Plat XS blue from that collection though, as it's the same white leather for that strap. I have wiped off minor dirt marks with a damp tissue though

@Bumbles i get that you're concerned about the vachetta, but when you mentioned Disneyland, I thought of the LoL bumbag for you ;) would you go for that if you couldn't get the others? So many choices, this has been a fun thread to read!

I’m glad you have enjoyed it. So have I and so much get advice and comments on two very different bags. I did think abt the lol bumbag (and it’s a bargain on 24s with 10% off too), but I would prefer the plain mono pattern. If I decide to get the bumbag ans can’t get it by the end of the month then it’s not meant to be. At this stage I’m pretty happy with the Métis (undecided on the colour) as it can be casual and formal so might be more practical than the bumbag. Let’s see what this month brings aye?

Thanks so much bagsamplified! It was fun to consider Bumbles question, and also enjoy reading everyone’s experiences and responses. Your beach footpath walk sounds wonderful - especially now with much of the US once again getting snow and ice. Oh to be in the Caribbean right now!! Your yellow keepall is such a fun cutie! I bought my sunset primarily for the canvas though I loved the overall look, didn’t know how much I was going to love the bag and it’s functionality. I of course then had to run out and buy the mono eclipse reverse keepall xs :P no wonder many of us should live on ban island together (I somehow think that’s a mythical place. No one can ever find let alone stay on:lol:). We await your decision Bumbles whenever you make it.:flowers:

Haha you know why it was the footpath? Cos if I walked on the sand.. I'd be drawn to the waves... and then, SPLASH!! There goes Saltwater on my brand new yellow leather bag  :amazed::yucky:

Not to worry, soon it'll be your turn for summer and beach weather! And we'll be freezing cold here..

I thinks it‘s the ultimate bag for travel, it‘s lightweight, soo practical for sightseeing and goes with so many outfits, day and night, fits passport, phone, a TP 19…It does not fit a water bottle though, so while travelling I always take a keepall, NF or OTG with me to fit scarves, iPad, water bottles, duty free shopping etc. and carry my PM in it, like Beautycase!

I ordered mine specifially for travel from the World Tour edition  and actually I only use it for travel and never at home, I don‘t know why!

Thank you, that’s great to know. Is your bumbag the mono? Is the vachetta ok and not too much hassle? Does your bumbag have any issues with cracking or bending folding? I read some people experienced that as well and in the end just returned and got a credit. Ahh decisions, decisions …. So many exciting choices! And both great bags! The PM sounds like an amazing bag. I don’t know why I hadn’t noticed it before? I think I was too busy chasing other bags hahaha
I have the Reverse Mono. Actually right now I'm taking a road trip with her, hence the pic. Have had it for more than 4yrs, no cracking or anything I could spot. For 1200€ back then it was also definitely worth the price tag, today...?!?

I have the Reverse PM and just took it on a short trip this past weekend! It is one of my favorite bags. I was undecided on mono vs reverse but have other mono bags so chose the reverse for something different and am so glad I did. I dress pretty neutral and haven’t had any problems coordinating it with my outfits (or if I have I haven t noticed ). I also bought the reverse Bandouliere XL strap as I have shoulder and back issues and it is so so comfortable. Mine is from 2019 and no issues as of yet! And I like having a bag with no vachetta to worry about.

While traveling, I put all my purse extras into a vintage PA (my newer one is too stiff) and put that onto the large middle compartment. I also stick a gold chain in there, then if I need a smaller bag I just pull it out and use it on the Pochette. I can also easily fit two cles, tissues, sunglasses, a folded mini tote bag, masks, and hand sanitizer in addition to the PA. And my phone in the back pocket. I find it is a great all around bag and think you would be happy with it.

That’s great. Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like the Métis will be perfect for what I’m after. I will definitely have to check it out in store and if it suits me get it before the next pi, before it becomes even more pricey. Even now at this price, I’m wondering if it’s still worth it. lol

I think it is. Back in 2018, I thought it was too expensive too. But what sealed the deal was the monogram strap, which by itself is worth a bit of money. And I can use this strap on my whole monogram collection.

Anyone use the montsouris backpack for travel?
I used the black empreinte. In the airport it was great. I used it for a whole trip and it was kind of a pain getting in and out of it if you're doing it a lot. I kept my phone in my back pocket. Otherwise, it holds a lot and is very carefree and lightweight on your back.
