Hmm I never thought there was a difference between a waitlist and a wishlist lol. Everytime I mention a particular item I'd like from Hermes, my SA would say 'I'd add that on to your wishlist'. Never thought much about what he meant.

for me, when my SA asked me what my wishlist is, i told her what i wanted to have... and the wait begins but then she will eventually fulfill my wishlist. I hope this helps? If anybody finds out the meanings of wishlist or wait list of H, could they please let me know! Thank you!

I heard that Hermes is enlarging the output of Birkin and Kelly. Also they are not so exquisitely made as, say, 10 years ago. It's that true? Any information appreciated.
They are adding leather production facilities overall. As for craftsmanship, I believe it varies but the quality control and leather quality seem to be down a touch - to be expected if they need to add lots more artisans- ....that said I have a 10 year old Birkin and a brand new one and they are both beautifully made.I heard that Hermes is enlarging the output of Birkin and Kelly. I wouldn't say that. Look at the line at FSH every morning and the prices resellers command. There are many people wanting these bags who wait years to be offered even a random color/leather.Thank you both for your thoughts! They are very helpful. Seems Birkins and Kellys are still really obtainable. [emoji4]
I'm curious to know if you see that as a positive or negative thing?Thank you both for your thoughts! They are very helpful. Seems Birkins and Kellys are still really obtainable. [emoji4]
QF, when you said high end stores, did you mean well known resellers like fashionphile and Madison Avenue? Thank you.Adding a thought to this...it's not a great thought but I do think that of the many, many Birkins and Kellys we all see, many are fakes. I see bags close-up at very high-end stores and I would say over 50% are high-level counterfeits. Goodness knows how many my untrained eye misses! So I do not think it is AS ubiquitous as some are saying.
