Is the Damier Azur too hard to keep clean?

NO problems with my Azur Galliera. The vachetta is the same as mono, so it does patina. If anything gets on the canvas I just wipe it off with a clean white towel. It is no more maintenance for me than my mono stuff.

This is my Damier Azur Speedy 30, I've had it for a little more then one year now. Not hard to keep clean :smile1:

I've gotten red lipstick on my vachetta & azur canvas only to have it wipe clean with alcohol free baby wipes! I treated my vachetta with Wilson's leather & suede protector. I LVOE my Azur Speedy 30! I do not carry it by hand but over the crook of my arm so oils/sweat & lotions don't sink into & darken the handles unevenly. Carrie284 your Azur looks nice with honey color patina! Mine is still very pale & I can't tan it any becuase of the cloudy weather. :(

Great if you take care of it! I have an Azur Speedy 30...got it in June and have only used it 3 times...so I feel like mine will remain in good condition...and I only wore so few times not because I am babying it but because I have other bags that need love too...plus since it is a classic...it will always be in style so IMO it is ok if I can't get to it right now. KWIM?

I know how much you love your bags ( I still reeling over your new handbag closet lol! )

My Azur is almost 2 years old and I have used her often. The canvas have been very easy to take care of, and the patina given the bag a 'warm and fuzzy' feel making the bag that much more beautiful.

That's why I will never ever own one and I don't like Azur or white in general. I prefer the darker colours like Damier Ebene and black anyway.

I have had my Azur Speedy since July also and it hasn't gotten dirty. I haven't used it when I wear dark jeans or shorts though- in case of color transfer. I've seen the blue dye on vachetta - not my bags- so that makes me afraid!:sweatdrop:

Hmmmm...this has me concerned now because I really want an Azur NF. When people talk about color transfer are they talking about onto the canvas? Would you have to be worried about color transfer from a dark shirt if you were using the NF as a shoulder bag?

from dark shirt-no! but jeans always gettin dirty light colour purses! Ebene and mono are outside the threat :D :graucho:

I got red lipstick on the canvas & vachetta of my Azur Speedy & I arrived home with it 30 minutes later to clean it with babywipes & it worked like a charm! You could never tell the mishap even happened! The vachetta dried back to normal color. I love my blue & cream beauty! I've never had a color tranfer problem as of yet (knock on wood)!
