Is it soda or pop or .....

My grampa from New Brunswick called it "pop", my gramma from Calgary called it "pop", my immediate family from Ontario called it "pop", and now that I live in The Netherlands, I hear the Brtitsh expats calling it "fizzy drinks", but "coke" always seems to be generic here too. Interesting thread!

My dad always said “Soda Pop” the rest of the family say Coke for any kind of soft drink. (Texas.)
In Washington state I’ve heard soft drink and pop.
