LV stores in HK never go on sale, so as LV stores around the world. that's what the SA told me. i go to HK every year end and i never got to experience any single cent discount :D although, they are really cheaper compared to my country, the Philippines, and i think a little cheaper too compared to US 'coz of tax free.

You are in the Philippines, what part? I'm from there but have been in the US for quite some time.

And another thing is that Japan has a high tax on luxury goods, that's why whenever they travel they buy a lot of luxury goods, they love coming to Hong Kong coz it's tax free.
Oh, yes. I pay more than what people of countries pay for their bags. So jealous!! If only I have the luxury of time to travel now.....

^^Metro Manila :D

It's so good to know that there are some Filipinos in this board. I went there last June and checked out the stores in Rockwell and Greenbelt to see if they are cheaper but was so shocked that the shoes that I bought at Ferragamo in Hawaii for $350 was almost 35,000 in peso. Good to have a kababayan here.:smile1:

Does anyone know if the HK flagship store have more bags selection than the typical US LV? I am seriously considering a shopping trip to HK end of the year. I generally love shopping in Asia as the merchandise (esp. clothes and cosmetics) are more to my taste, being a chinese myself.

She also mentioned something about Macau, which I assumed is one shopping area. I asked her if the LV bags were fake, she said no. She bought one took it to the boutique and they authenticated it.
.

You actually have to take a ferry to get to Macau. It's like it's own little country/city. You need your passport to get in. It was pretty notorious for sleezy ppl/gangs/gambling joints before, but they've done good job of making it tourist friendly now.

LV never SALE worldwide. LV bags are 10-30 EUR more or less in every country and of course if you want limited edition, you can find it in HK or Tokyo.

HK is a shopping PARADISE after Tokyo (most expensive city in the world)! If you like shopping, definitely must go to HK, you can buy everything there, all International top designer brands and many other locals, Japanese designers brand we never heard before in the west but very trendy and nice stuff from apparels to bags, HK not cheap though, best time to go shopping is in July and August for the grand sales seasons! I am going again this year. Forget about Paris, LV may be slightly cheaper in Paris, but considering accommodations and flight ticket, the bag will no longer cheaper than buying in your local store. so far I only buy my Vuitton bag in Munich since I received good friendly service every time I step in. My next bag is probably Carryall.

Not sure if a gay guy is welcome here but I am LV lover myself. Greetings to all from Munich, Germany.

I'm not sure whether LV is cheaper in HK or US but it's definitely cheaper than buying it in Australia :|, that's why I tend to hold off from buying and then go crazy in HK, haha

LV prices in HK and USA the same but HK does not have tax, so you can save some money. Plus there are more variety and wider selection in HK than in USA, according to my HK friend.

I remember once I went to China a few years ago I mey one man who own a Jewery store and that Im asking him if theres a Vuitton store around there..and we do discuss a lot about buying Vuitton stuff and he told me that he also from Hong Kong and If you want to buy the Lvs you HAVE TO GO AND BUY IN HONG KONG ! cause the tax seem to be the CHEAPEST in the world next to France!

Just googled the answer to my question. The address of the flagship store in Hong Kong is:

Shop 7-17, Landmark Atrium, Central

Can any Hong Kong residents verify if this is correct or not? I don't want to spread false info :)
