i say yes. i think it depends much more on the color of the suede and the type of item it is rather than just it being the material. for instance, i wouldn't wear suede shoes/skirt/jacket in the summer but a suede bag is fine. like everyone said, keep it a light color though because brown suede (for example) screams fall. hope this helps!

It used to be no white after Labor Day, etc. However, suede, I guess depending on color, I feel should be left for the fall. If it's done in the white or celadon family then it can look good and gain character. Any brown/black in suede I really think should be left for the cooler weather as it gives off a heavier feeling.

I think a suede bag works depending on the color/shape of the bag and the color of the outfit. I can totally picture an all white summer outfit with a light brown/tan/beige suede hobo and matching sandals.

Suede in the summer? Sure, why not!

Suede is meant for autumn and winter wear. Just like corduroy, boucle and flannel in apparel, suede suggests a heaviness associated with the warmth needed for cooler weather. That said, there is a finer suede called nubuck (technically a suede) which is really the reverse side of very soft kidskin. The texture is very fine and it colors beautifully. You will sometimes see it is summer shoes and handbags and this type of suede in lighter colors and pastels are perfect acceptable. So really, it all depends in the density or nap of the suede you are talking about.
