Is goyard st louis worth the money?

FWIW I bought a PM this year and use it pretty regularly… it looks great. No wear at all. I was apprehensive given the reviews, and even the store’s warnings, but took the plunge and happy I did. I will say though I use it as a purse not a tote, as in I don’t carry heavy things in it or load it up. I carry my makeup bag, card holder wallet, phone, mini pack of wipes, and a change of clothes for my daughter (the latter being very light). Basically I use it like I would a mini bag, and just use the extra “space” for bulky light items… not heavy items. I somewhat regret buying my Boheme before this, since I bought that thinking it’d wear better… which it wears well but I only needed the St Louis.

I love these bags - I have one in black and one in green and I'm looking at adding sky blue next year. They are cheerful, hold a crap ton and mine look amazing compared to my other totes. I admit that I wish the handle drop was puffy coat-friendly, but I manage.

ive been using mine.. GM.. for more than 10yrs now.
yeah it has faded abit..just abit.
dirty inner. corners torn. and the strap....ooh man.. dont wana go into that

But with all the negative all said...
im glad i have it and i will .. and intend to purchase it again.

the material and design may show signs of wear n tear.. i dont mind.
I like how it ages with time.
it still holds as a bag. and i can be rough with it.
( if u dont like aging bags , pls dont get the Saint Louis. )

Hi ladies! I am very interested in getting a Goyard St. Louis PM just for everyday wear. What has your honest experience with this bag been and is it something that you recommend? Any issues with wear and tear? I was thinking about the Neverful, but prefer the originality of Goyard more. Let me know your honest thoughts!

I have no complaints about my light blue SL pm after a few years and I still enjoy it a lot. I wear it spring/summer and have traveled with it. It’s my only Goyard and I would consider adding another in white.

I use my St. Louis daily and have for several years! I have zero complaints…no handle cracking, no worn corners. I have burgundy and love it! I also have a Neverfull, but use this more…

My SL is my go-to travel haul bag and it has gone all over the globe with me. I love that it's lightweight, durable, and roomy. No complaints from me.

I'm very happy with my SL PM and have had it for two years. I will likely get another SL PM in a second color. I sometimes see SLs with corner holes but I think you need to use the bag a lot for that to happen and Goyard can patch. My SL looks pretty much the same as when purchased, so worth it for me.

I also get a lot of use out of my Artois bags since I prefer the zip top when traveling or in bad weather.

I second the Artois bags too. I like them for when I want some added security or at least carrying less stuff.

Hi. I've had several of these bags. In my experience, if you use the bag a lot, the handles will crack (they can be replaced, for a fee--I don't remember how much), the paint used to customize your design will flake off, and you will get holes in the corners of the bags. They are lightweight, which is great, but also not that durable. If you like the design and are ok with it getting damaged, go ahead. If you want a special bag that will look new for a while, you might be quite disappointed.
