Is Coach considered a luxury brand?

My opinion too, pretty much exactly with one other detail. They are way to overboard with the 'decorations' for my taste. I love studs and fringe and such, but in moderation.

And my problem is the actual quality of the embellishments -- I'm sorry, but with the new Western Rivets line the "turquoise" stones (or whatever) look plastic....I apologize in advance if anyone owns those items, but I find that unacceptable unless the entire bag is plastic and is sold as a party favor.

Someone on here recently posted their bag (not sure which model) arrived with some cracked decorations that looked like plastic...maybe one of you gals saw it?

The embellishment trend (led by Fendi and Gucci) is everywhere now... but it will soon disappear as soon as customers want something else. Coach is one of the many fashion houses to follow the trend, that is follow the money.

It is a thing about a fashion-the more the merrier, its just a trend with embellishments, I am waiting patiently when it will be over. I bought two pars of sneakers this year but zero bags.

i don't like to spend much on embellishments. I don't like them when you lose too many. Or they are no longer in.

I like to keep my bags classic. And add more embellishment in clothing, and non investment shoes. It is probably because I already like to wear pattern, so it would just be too much otherwise!

After seeing these posts (Chihua) and then following the link to the website it made me sad too. I wonder if everyone here has a passion for Coach handbags, or (given direct quotes from TPF that were mentioned earlier), could TPF become a vehicle for one to use a member's words to bash a stock they are shorting.

I just wanted to say that fashion trends are frustrating if they don't suit me. It happened with, say, skinni jeans. I am a teacher, I can not wear this underwear crap to work, same thing with past fringe trend(looks on me like worn out falling apart old clothes, adding years/age to look).. but I am really enjoying trend for sneakers and sandals on the thick rubber kedslike outsole, comfy and practical. Bought quite a few pairs and they are my fav shoes now.

I admit when I used to first think of coach, I thought of those signature bags which I couldn't stand personally. I also didn't think the LV bags with the monogram all over were nice either. Why would I want to carry something with the brand slapped all over it? When it comes to bags, I like more of the logoless bags. I do love LV bags in damier ebene (brown checkers) but everyone already knows what those are. My most expensive bag is my Coach Rogue bag. I enjoy the fact that most cannot tell what brand it is. It's a very nice bag, but not in your face to me.

Anyways, I think the luxury part depends on the person. Someone who spends thousands on other brands won't think Coach is luxury, but someone who usually buys walmart/target bags will. They're luxury in my eyes.

Trends take awhile to grow on me and sometimes I end up liking them. So I never say never. When skinny jeans came out, I thought they looked out of proportion. They made hips look big compared to the skinny ankles. Now I love skinny jeans. It is all I wear. During the winter I wear them stuffed into boots, which helps with the proportion problem. I have skinny legs so they aren't skin tight on me.

I love skinny jeans. And I am not skinny. I have proportionally big thighs/small calves and ankles. Some mean person in high school called my legs drumsticks.

Anyway this has been the case since I was 8. I had to size up to fit my thighs. Now I have some hips too. So basically all jeans would be tight from hip to knee. No matter the style. No trouser jeans for me unless I want a ton of alterations.

So with stretch skinny jeans, the finally are just tight everywhere, so the tight seems intentional. And not like my pants didn't fit. So it is dresses, jeggings and skinny jeans for me. And sometimes leggings. :D

I took this picture today, for the purse actually, but you can also see my skinny jeans. I'm short, 5'4". I think it depends on how you wear them.View attachment 3584886

You look fantastic! I adore skinny jeans, i am very petite and boot cut and straight can overwhelm me, plus even if the skinnies are too long, bam.. they cuff and still look good or tuck nicely into my taller boots.
