Is Coach considered a luxury brand?

And my problem is the actual quality of the embellishments -- I'm sorry, but with the new Western Rivets line the "turquoise" stones (or whatever) look plastic....I apologize in advance if anyone owns those items, but I find that unacceptable unless the entire bag is plastic and is sold as a party favor.

Someone on here recently posted their bag (not sure which model) arrived with some cracked decorations that looked like plastic...maybe one of you gals saw it?
That imo is always the downside to embellishments, they are wonderful straight out of the box(altho sadly sometimes not even then lol) but they are always at risk for falling off, breaking and scratching.

Don't get me wrong, i do like the look of some of them, the current western themes remind me of all the western saddles i was around as a kid but overall, i prefer to only admire vs buy, i like more classic, simply styled bags, i don't own a lot and like my bags to not be overly trendy, for ones that are i'd go much cheaper vs investing higher amounts.

And just back to the main subject. Is Coach a luxury brand? By quality-money balance-absolutely. Luxury by my definition-comfort with no worries. When I read how ladies first paying big sums of money buying high-end designers and then have to fight with CS to scratch out the warranty repair, I am sorry it is not luxury, it is a nightmare. I have never had to contact coach CS, no need, nothing ever broke, never experienced any cornerwear even on a pretty light colored bags, and I paid a very reasonable money. Luxury? Absolutely!
(My hobby has a pair of coach boots that are 12 years old and perfect. They are investment and a very successful one. )That is why I am with coach. If any part of this equation will change( prices go up ridiculously, quality down the toilet), I will move to another purse brand.

I know this thread started a few years ago...but to add my 2 cents. Coach is trying very very veeerrryyy hard to reach Lux levels but its still not there yet. I prefer to be lux handbags as they last, look good, have good resale value and "aren't everywhere".... ive had conversations with Coach SAs about the brands rep...and i admit i do have 1 outlet bag which i use as a beater bag if we go to the theater or an amusement park...but otherwise wouldnt wear otherwise and they acknowledge the rep. The newer lines are an attempt at getting close to the Lux label. Persobally when i gi in March to buy my Spring handbag i will consider a rogue... anything else is a bit to blatant in my eyes...but i also have my eye on a Balenciaga and a Burberry so resale potential may win over as still Coach has poor resale potential...if you buy a high end Coach bag its hard to recoop at consignment shops and on Ebay there is a plethora of cheap Coach...so ur screwed basically so i dunno...

Im curious to see where they go...

Whateve, we're the same height and similar body build...you look great in your skinny jeans and tall boots. I'm envious about the boots.
I've worn boot cut jeans for years but as my higher heel/shoe wearing days are over and at the urging of my granddaughters, I finally tried a skinny jean and was most pleasantly surprised with how they look on me and I in them. I wear low wedge/heeled shoes, sometimes flats, and they're perfect. And I do love not having all that extra fabric around.

Whatever... why did you , ladies, jump on this particular subject? It was just an example that not every fashion trend could fit everybody. Ok, pointy shoes? Can everybody wear them?

I think people "jumped on" this comment because of the way you insinuated that only certain people should be permitted to wear an item of clothing. I'm 5'2" and I'll wear all the skinny jeans I want.

With respect? I don't know where you learned the meaning of respect but it sure as hell wasn't anyplace close to where I did!! Ugly, mean comment you made.

Thank you, Hobbsy! I really bit my tongue to not address this very insensitive post.

I have been a victim of size shaming because I'm a plus size gal. I'm not sitting on the Pity Pot, because I'm a confident, accomplished individual and have a great support system. However, that doesn't mean that I enjoy hearing or reading about what I may or may not look fabulous wearing, according to the Tunnel Vision of the fashion industry and/or society's standards.

Sometimes when we post negative comments, we have had a bad day, or maybe we're over compensating our own deficiencies, but it would be great if we followed the old "if you can't say anything nice" rule, myself included.

Or maybe "proofread" your post BEFORE hitting the SEND key.

Women are horrible to women, maybe worse than men! Body shaming is horrible and makes my angry come out

You look fantastic! I adore skinny jeans, i am very petite and boot cut and straight can overwhelm me, plus even if the skinnies are too long, bam.. they cuff and still look good or tuck nicely into my taller boots.

Thank you! I used to wear boot cut jeans but I wanted to wear boots with them. It was frustrating finding jeans that were wide enough to fit over the boot, but not too wide, especially back when I first started wearing Uggs, as it is very hard to fit boot cut jeans over them. The other thing I hated about boot cut jeans was that they were usually too long, so I had to either hem them or let them drag. With skinny jeans, if they are too long, they just bunch up at the bottom, or I can fold them up. During the summer, I can wear them with flats, sneakers or sandals.

I love boots! The colors came out terrible in this picture. These are actually gray suede boots that took me forever to find!

Whatev, my new unlined Uggs are arriving tomorrow! I'll post them for you to see.
