I used to think tweed jackets were too mature looking for me until I saw it on a male pop idol who’s a brand ambassador….he styled a navy tweed jacket with sequins (or his stylist styled it) with cargo pants, such an elegant but edgy look. I’ve never seen a Chanel tweed jacket styled so well, and it was on a dude.

Chanel does not fit well on men bc the tailoring isn't made for a male silhouette. Yes, you can say some of them look good in it but it still looks ill fitting at the end of the day. Chalamet, GD, Pharell - the shoulders are always off. I personally think men look better in clothes that are tailored fit them properly.

It all hinges on a person’s build. FYI chanel makes some pieces in size 50. If we use G Dragon as n example, his stature is small. He apparently can wear size 42, 44 the same as I only I am taller. Remember too Chanel can be altered thanks to the seam allowances that cheaper clothing cuts off thus nixing alteration to a larger size. Chanel is or was tailored for the slender built person.

I agree
It totally depends on the build of the man - those with smaller slender frames can pull it off and I think many of the pieces are masculine in styling and look really good on men.

Having said that I don’t think I would enjoy seeing them actually do menswear in the boutique - I like the way it is now. For ladies but men can wear if they wish.

Chanel had a line of what I thought were grand complication men’s watches (at the opening of its jewelry store off 57th st on Fifth

Or maybe they were just priced as such lol

If Chalamet become a Chanel ambassador, I may have to dive into Chanel

I have an IG where I show off ‚feminine‘ bags for other men to give them an idea on how they might look:

Not meant as advertising myself but I think this might help you to answer this question since I have about 6 Chanel bags.

To answer the topic: gender doesn’t matter, it just needs to work for YOU and as long as you feel great wearing it, that’s all that matters.

Enclosed you find some insta pics from my account (that’s a Chanel jacket btw and I am very tall)

Perfection. Love your style!.
To answer the question, I think it’s a matter of having the right attitude and creating your personal style. Having fun, enjoying and loving what you wear, is what really matters at the end.
