Is anyone a bra size 30D? Where do you get bras?

OMG! I went to this site out of my curiosity and they have bra size 28DDD/E. Is that even REAL? Or by that size you're considered to have fake boobs? Like how is that possible? And when you have such a small back, doesn't it hurt to have such big boobs? Sorry if I sound so naive, but I haven't heard of anything like 28DDD/E before.

I'm a 30/32G, so yes, totally possible, and not fake! But when I go to Victoria's Secret they try to convince me that I'm a 38DDD  Just so that I can fit in their bras! But trust me, a 38 would be like free flowing on my rib cage haha.

But yes, I agree with others, figleaves.com or a local boutique. In Rhode Island/New Hampshire there is a lovely boutique called Zoe and Company that I go to and they are WONDERFUL. They will find you literally 100 bras in any size. And they keep fitting you until you have the PERFECT bra. It was pricey but absolutely worth it. My clothes fit so much better now! Check out if you have a local boutique like that!
For reference, the bras that I wear most often are Fantasie and Freya. They are awesome.

Also, a really good bra fitting store will also explain to you how you know if it is well-fit while you are trying on bras. Like I didn't even realize the middle part needs to be situated right against your chest bone. Mine was always just all over the place!

I went to Nordstrom and they only several bras in that size. I like 't-shirt bras' or bras that are lined/have light padding so they have a 'shape' when they're not being worn, but aren't stiff like the Le Mystere ones. Any recs?

I'm a 30DD!!!! I get mine at calvin klein you can get them at any department store, online, the CK stores, or even marshalls/tj maxx (30D) if you get lucky.

hth!!

I got a few on ebay as it's EASIER to get a 30D than a 30DD!! And I need a DD because the D is too small for me.

I did buy a few 30D but the cups are too small for me... it was much easier to get those

Okay...I know this is sort of a strange request...but for everyone who wears a 30, whats your ribcage measurement? Just out of curiosity.

Also if any bra experts are in here...I still need help haha (I asked in a different topic a while ago)

My ribcage is 27.5". Around full bust/breasts I measure out to be like 35.5".

I was measured as 32D but didn't buy any bras...I'm wearing 34C right now but the band is loose.

I used an online bra calculator that says I should actually be a 32C. Which is the equivalent of a 34B...and I'm quite sure my breasts are bigger in volume than that. Since everyone I know who has been fitted as a 34B looks smaller then me cupwise...

Sooo confusing!!!

But yes...just curious as to how tiny ribcages are for size 30...

My ribcage is 27" so I'm supposed to be a 28" band but I find the 30" band from calvin klein fits perfectly well.

My bust measures about 33.5" so in your case, I would go for a 32DD (in calvin klein)

hth!

I'm a 32E/32DDD and I shop Figleaves.com, Herroom.com, Biggerbras.com, Barenecessities.com and once from Ebags.com.

I buy only online--my local Nordstrom carries some of my favorite lines but ugh, their prices. Freya, Chantelle and Panache all usually fit well. Freya has really cute, fashion-forward styles for the bigger boulders and fab plunge bras, which can be hard to find at this size. My Chantelle t-shirt bras are my dailies.

I've yet to figure out why Victoria's Secret--the harbinger for mass-market "SEXY" unmentionables--doesn't cater to the "bitty babes with big busts" niche, because they sure seem to sell to them. I'm not buying that a 34 band (smallest they carry) could possibly support a single one of those pear-shaped pouty beanpoles strutting about their ad campaigns.

Figleaves.com and Bravissimo.com are good websites for finding 30D bras.
Freya, Panache, Gossard, Wonderbra, Fantasie and some styles of CK come in that size so happy shopping!!

I wear a 34F and i love Freya bras, especially the Deco.

I'm a trained Lingerie Fitter so ladies feel free to ask me any questions!

Got this from Rigby & Peller, bra sizing advice...

  1. Remember that there's no such thing as a definitive bra size.
  2. The bra size that fits the best will vary according to the style and fabric.
  3. The back of your bra should hug the narrowest part of your back and be at the same level as the front.
  4. Underwires should curve snugly around your breasts it should never cut into them.
  5. A test you can do is to push the wire of the bra when you have it on. If it feels soft, the wire is sitting on your breast tissue and you should try a larger cup size. If it feels hard, it is sitting on the ribcage and is therefore fitting you correctly.
  6. To put on a bra, bend over and lower your breasts into the cups. Then stand up and fit yourself more comfortably inside it.
  7. Make sure that you move around in your new bra. Lift your arms above your head and make sure it does not ride up and is still giving you the desired effect.
  8. Always fasten a new bra on the loosest hooks. The band should still be very snug. Wear and tear and washing will relax the fit. When this happens use the tighter.
  9. If you are unsure of the band fit, you should be able to run your finger along the inside of the band. When trying your bra on, try it on under a tight fitting top. Make sure that it gives you the line and shape that you are looking for.

I'm a 30-32D but my boobs aren't really that much to look at. I have such a small frame but they really don't look that big. Most of my friends would guess that I'm a 34B and can't believe that I wear a 32D until they see the bra on me. I think that it seems weird because so many women are wearing the wrong bra size.

fyi, I love herroom.com and barenecessities.com for bras.

I had better luck with nordstrom.com, it was a bit of trial and error, I ordered at least 8 bras and kept three, but the three I kept are perfect. I read all the reviews, checked the material, looked for things I liked, and I guess it worked because I'm really happy with the three I chose. I never would have found them in the store, and they are not the size I was measured for, they are a cup size down and a ribcage size up from what they told me in Nordstrom.

VS has strange sizing. I am a totally different size in VS than I am elsewhere.
