I had that bag once, and I really liked it. I don't know how well those would rehab though. The leather is thinner and different than vintage bags. I have my doubts, but I am not an expert rehabber either. My city Willis looked much better than that one, lol!

Since you buy bags cheaply do you have a limit in terms of number of bags or space to hold them, etc? If cost won't be an issue, you might need to think about what it is that does limit you as a goal. Or even just considering how many bags you will actually use and only keeping/buying bags you will use regularly.
I'm thinking more of like a nice stuff in a steamy room to get it's shape.

(love it when guys wear striped shirts, especially NH and LT of 1D. I know I am robbing the cradle, lol, but on TPF, age and number of bags don’t matter much)
A lot of the bags I buy actually either go out to family after a good cleaning or I just clean and resell. There are very few that I keep. Lol the ones I resell and get profit for goes towards one that I've had my eye on for forever or something for the kids. I've had my eye on a Megan for so long now. Every time I go to get one that I can afford, they're gone. Lol
I was responding to your comment of concern of not holding to your ban, assuming you wanted to do so. I am fine if you don't--I was just trying to be helpful. It is completely up to you whether you want to be on a ban or not.... Just wanted to provide some things to consider if you were interested in doing it.
I wasn't being hateful or anything. Lol I try to stick to the ban but then I come across a really good deal and can't help it. Lol like my mother has been looking for a nice black Kate Spade or Coach and I found both for under 40(not each) and looked practically new.
My husband is away for work throughout the week and I'm here with the kids so I browse the internet far too much. Lol that's the main problem, really.
House is clean, kids are fed, laundry is caught up, there's nothing else to do but hang out on the internet or read. I don't have any new books yet, and my crafting has come to a halt.
I guess I'm rambling on because I'm lonely and buying these beauties is my retail therapy. Lol
I get it. It is up to you what you are comfortable with, and when you feel like you have a change you want to make. I just know that many that have gotten involved in the cheap or vintage game have run into similar situations where it is hard to stop because the search is fun and the bags are cheap. Only you know if you feel okay with the time, money, effort spent on it. Many come in here wanting to be on a ban of some type so we try to help, especially when they say they want to. But it doesn't mean that I personally require that you do it.... or have any investment in whether you do it or not do it. Just some thoughts....

Is this the bright cherry? The smaller Charlie’s are so cute. I’m trying to get over my hardware mixing “phobia” as well haha I have been mixing a bit and the more I do it the less I mind! Some I find actually look pretty good
Yes, this is the bright cherry, as opposed to the regular dark berry. I think I have a glove tanned card case in bright cherry. I'll have to to look at my receipts. It's the smaller Charlie which I think is a good bag for summer. A zipped compartment for my wallet, and then summer necessities in the side pockets. But small and cute.
I would love to find a handbag, not a tote, with silver hardware. A few years ago there were so many being made but it's a return to gold hardware (my personal favourite) and I'm not complaining. I may just have to use my charms on the bag of the day. I should try to make it work.
I caved! I bought the navy Cassie and a frame bag on fos. I lasted all of two months. Well, it was longer because I bought my last bag in early December. Anyway, I am annoyed, because just hours after my purchase, the same items are marked down. With the lower price I would save more than 60 bucks. I called to ask for a price adjustment and was told no because it's a new sale.I have a good mind to just purchase both things again.
Oh, I also just purchased the MM bag that will be DH's gift to me for my birthday even though he doesn't know it yet.

IM, @Syren @BeachBagGal I can tell I was so sleepy in describing my new Charlie 28 (also waiting for this with anticipation). It's described as "bright cherry multi" with gold hardware on the website. My former regular size Charlie was "dark berry" with metallic interior and dark hardware. So although I loved the colour dark berry, and was ok with the dark hardware, it was the loss of structure on my cadet blue Charlie (which I use frequently) that made me decide to sell the dark berry Charlie (had hardly used at all).
I still have my small Charlie 28 in blue metallic. It's so cute and I enjoy the size. Not heavy and feels compact.
I see from the FOS website my navy Cassie and Charlie 28 have gone down in price (insert eye roll). At this rate, I could have bought a third bag.
Beautiful colors! One of these and a Megan bag are on my list. Until then I'm gonna put my ban in affect. Unless it's for resell. Lol
How did the leather hold up? Someone above said it has thinner leather.
