I think your black sneakers will be fine! Better to be comfortable so you can focus on the important things.

TBH I’ve never been one to worry about sicknesses but this one does have me concerned. Maybe that’s me getting older? Or maybe just a side effect of my worry about the state of our ... Never-mind no political talk lol

I even looked up where to buy face masks, that is so not like me! But then I saw on the news face masks really aren’t the best option at preventing infection but are more helpful for those that are sick or if they’re a healthcare worker. So I’m just being extra vigilant about hand washing and not touching my face. Which is incredibly hard with my Invisalign.

I had the flu in December which was the first time I was sick in years! I think it was about 7 years. And then 2 weeks ago I came down with a minor cold. After not being sick for so long it was strange to be sick twice so close together. I think it’s because of my Invisalign since I’m constantly taking the trays in and out and I have to chew on these little rubber things to make sure they are seated correctly. Oy! So it is stressing me out a bit because I can’t really avoid putting my hands in my mouth. The #1 thing you are supposed to avoid doing lol I feel ya.
Even if you get it, the chances it will kill you are very low. The people who have died generally have other health problems. DH and I are higher risk because he has heart disease and I have asthma.

They isolated someone at our local hospital but the latest news is that person doesn't have it. DH wants to stop going out but I really don't want to have to cook.

I touch my face more than I should. I'm constantly putting vaseline on my lips.

I agree — the elderly and those with some health conditions are at higher risk (like my elderly folks....and me who is not exactly in perfect health :(). I also use Vaseline or lip balm all the time (I can’t have naked lips ever).

Here is my latest purchase. I didn't know they made these until I saw one in a thrift store. That one was missing some parts so I left it behind and ordered a new one. I've always carried a tiny swiss army knife, mostly for the scissors. This is a card that has even more functions and it fits in my card case. I'm most excited about the flashlight, magnifier, and pen.
That’s cool! Just make sure you remember you have it on you if you’re going thru airport security or anywhere else.

Thanks for the shoe advice :). Agree on the face masks — they have been sold out everywhere here (even Amazon except for a few outrageously priced ones) since late January. I don’t understand how regular medical masks help because germs can still get into your eyes — guess if you are sick, it might prevent your germs from infection others. I also don’t understand why some people wear masks inside their cars while driving, lol (am I missing something?).

That is interesting because most people consider Cassie small, lol! I guess you mainly have been carrying really small bags? The Cassie is about the same as many of my other bags. Of course it is bigger than the Dinky bags, but it is a small profile bag so it isnt a lot different. Just a different shape, with more pockets.
Very true! Yep I’m a small bag girl now. Good thing because I don’t have the closet space for big bags. :p

Ok “fashion” advice please. I just found out I need to go to a funeral in a couple of days. I haven’t been to one in almost 20 years. I have about 5 black dresses — I am wearing the only one that doesn’t have shiny sequins or made of velvet, lol. The problem is that my problematic feet have been hurting so badly the last 4-6 weeks (even in athletic shoes). I don’t think I can wear my normal Grannie black flats. Would it look tacky/disrespectful if I wear my black Skechers slip on sports shoes? Thanks.
Eh I wouldn’t wear them with a dress. But if the dress is super long they might not be noticed anyway. Depends on formal it is. If it is a matter of not going because you dont have the right shoes then wear them. People wont be paying attention. They will be too busy grieving.

^That was speaking on fashion only. Who really cares. Lol. I went to a service once where the half the people looked like they were headed to the beach. And NO it was not beach themed, it was very awkward. So my point is wear the Sketchers. Lol. And a FAB purse! Now that’s important. Hehe

I wear a mask when I vacuum or dust. That's the only time.

Good advice! Once I went to jury duty with my swiss army knife in my purse. I had to hide it in the shrubbery outside the court.
A funny true story. My friend went out of town and went to a wine fest and bought me a wine bag. So when leaving she went thru airport security and buzzers went off, and next thing she knows she is being detained for having something on her, “potential weapon.” Turns out in the zipper pocket of the wine bag it came with a small metal wine bottle opener - she had NO clue! It became quite an ordeal.
