Ok “fashion” advice please. I just found out I need to go to a funeral in a couple of days. I haven’t been to one in almost 20 years. I have about 5 black dresses — I am wearing the only one that doesn’t have shiny sequins or made of velvet, lol. The problem is that my problematic feet have been hurting so badly the last 4-6 weeks (even in athletic shoes). I don’t think I can wear my normal Grannie black flats. Would it look tacky/disrespectful if I wear my black Skechers slip on sports shoes? Thanks.

I sold another bag in the best sort of sale. It sold within 10 minutes of listing it! This means that I donated or gave away 6 bags, sold two, and have two more listed. So I celebrated and just bought that Coach Cass bag in oak with brass hardware. I've been looking for a rich brown for a couple years, and this bag really fit my need. I saw it and tried it on a couple weeks ago at a store, and someone did a reveal on another thread. I wanted to wait until I could make sure I could get the 30% discount, and I did! Really happy I'm getting this bag!

These ads are really, really annoying! They make the platform unstable too. Anyone else notice this? Posts jump around.
Congrats, E! I look forward to seeing your new bag. You sound excited!

I don’t think that kind of thing matters anymore, personally. I know there are some that are very traditional, but it seems it isn’t like everyone is that way now. I think the “rules” are pretty relaxed now. It seems to make sense to do what works for you physically..

It is kind of more a shiny silver, which really works with this bag--esp because the complimentary color is navy on the bag (and on the inside. I have paired it with my navy strap from mautto that I was using on the dalmatian dinky bag. Thanks! I just happened to take another pic....

This looks so good with the dark strap and silver hardware!

I made a post about the whole tale
https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...ntains-a-reveal-but-no-actual-rivets.1025103/
But to sum up, it was the tattoo Callie and Dreamer in evergreen

As for the bag charm, it was the rexy charm from the coach x guang Yu collaboration! I think it's so cute (and pieces from that collab are so impossible to get).

I still really want the id lanyard, but to use the cardholder part, and I can't spend $95 on an item I'm taking apart to use half of. Sadly I checked with my coach outlet and they showed it on discount...but they don't do found orders anymore. Calling the boutique and it was still full price

Finally, I really like the dumbo in chalk and dalmatian in pink zip wristlets. They're not sold out YET but...

As for the bag I wanted, I'm going to get it. Decided I didn't want to pass it up because I can't find it ANYWHERE aside from this preloved one

I really like it so much...
Saaski, I read your great adventure! Wow, congratulations on finding the bags you loved the most! It sounds like you had a lot of fun. Your Chelsea bags are so gorgeous!

I got the Coach x Guang Yu Rexy!

And I feel you on the SLGs. I held off on buying some from the Disney collection but curses! Regret! I really have liked the Dumbo on Chalk.

That is a really fun fob! Hope you can find the Disney ones you like.

So pretty! I think the silver looks great with this color. Silver isn’t my first choice for hardware but I think it’s the best pairing for this bag. I’ve looked at this Dinky a few times during this FOS haha I almost bought the navy Charlie that had this rose print. I love it.
I agree with you; different hardware colors look great on certain bags. Silver is my favorite, but now I also enjoy all the hardware colors Coach does. I appreciate the variety; they're all so beautiful.

These are very pretty — I especially love the purple one. Congrats and enjoy.

Thanks for your reply on the sanitizer. I appreciate your kind and reassuring words . I tend to worry a lot anyways so this virus is just one more thing . It would be a little easier to ignore if we didn’t live in an affected metro area (DD is also in an affected area ). I have read that one (or more?) Costco in a different state ran out of toilet paper over the weekend because of this panic. I hate to be one of those crazy/paranoid people but....

Thanks!

Hang in there, dear Minda. Wow, there is a lot going on around you. :hugs:

On the news last night, they said there are 11 people in our county that recently came back from China. When they got off the plane, none of them appeared infected. The CDC just gave them a kit to monitor their symptoms and told them to self isolate in their homes. Supposedly the CDC checks in with them daily. So far, none of them have it. I really hope these people are staying home and not coming into contact with anyone who mixes with people.

I hope so too. We can only hope people will be responsible and use common sense. (Which isn't so common...)

That seems crazy. But I guess there aren’t enough resources to quarantine them together. Our govt and “leaders” aren’t prepared for this!!!
That really adds to the feeling of uncertainty.

I would say, don't worry about how it looks. I don't think it is disrespectful at all. Most people probably won't notice. If someone dares to ask, give them your "Did you really just ask me that question?" or "How is this any of your business" look. Orrrr, look them straight in the eye and say, "my feet are killing me, but I really wanted to come, so here I am". I kid, I kid, Sorry, I'm terrible at jokes. Really, though, do what is right for you. Don't worry about the others. The people who love you won't really care about which shoes you wore. It will be far more important that you came.

OK thanks so much — I appreciate your advice . I just didn’t want to come across badly on such a solemn occasion.

Changing topic — stopped by Walmart tonight since we are out of lemonade. Check out the empty paper towel and TP aisles. No liquid soap left as well — just bar soaps. Yikes

I think it would be fine. Years ago I never would have worn sneakers with dresses, but now it is commonplace.

Are people really worried about running out of toilet paper? The last time we bought some, we bought one of those huge packs that will probably last more than 6 months. If things get so bad that the country runs out of toilet paper, I'm sure there will be more important things to worry about.
