This looks just like a pencil case I used to have, only mine was green. I really love the leather lining. Then I got the Peanuts one so the green one went. I use it as a cosmetic case. I want something the same shape but a little shorter so it will fit in smaller bags. There is one a perfect size on Coach.com but it has fabric lining.
It's the leather lining that I love!

Ok....I probably know the answer to this but is it weird I'm making my cats, foster cats, and outside ferals Thanksgiving dinner on Friday?

I cook whole chickens for them weekly but my vet will also be dropping off some kitty friendly sides and treats that a vet tech makes. My kids are super excited about it, so I guess that is all that matters lol.

No, not weird at all for a cat lover like you. Also, you are generous and big-hearted so it’s no surprise that you are doing that . Lucky kitties .

It's just my mom and me this year, at my place. I don't like turkey, so we'll be having Salmon w/ pineapple salsa. The sides will be: acorn and/or butternut squash (baked ?), roasted rutabagas w/ fresh rosemary, brown & wild rice stuffing, and cranberry sauce. Apple crisp, and banana bread for dessert.
Yummy!!!! I'm hungry just thinking about your dinner. Enjoy!

OK, Sold. You just convinced me that I need a leather lined pencil case (even though the color is neutral, lol).
It will go great with all your black bags and others for sure! Meanwhile, I went over to fos to check it out. Somehow it jumped into my cart. The best part is free shipping. I have missed out on others because there was no free shipping.

We are twins . sorry for enabling . I wished I had seen it earlier when they had the extra 20% off. Oh well, still a good deal I think.

Hopefully this is all I buy this holiday week

What's everyone doing for Thanksgiving? I'm not doing anything special this year and want to live vicariously.:P
We'll be home too. We don't live near family, and I miss the old extended family gatherings a lot, but it is so nice to stay home. Last weekend we had two sets of family visit, and had a mini-celebration with turkey. We're having turkey again because the kids love our food traditions and have given their same meal wishes. I have teenagers so food doesn't last long enough to get tired of it, but if we ever do have extra that is freezable, it's nice to save some for a later meal.

We typically go to the in laws and I see my family the following week. Well, things hit the fan with DHs parents this week so we are staying home. It's not worth the stress and I refuse to let my kids see them fighting, when they fight it is really bad. I also am so upset with them I don't know how I will even be able to deal with them at Christmas. So I'm rushing around today and tomorrow to make a huge dinner for just DH and our kids. I'm making everyone's favorites including pie and cake. DH is so picky and hates anything store bought. I'm trying to make this dinner as special as possible because the kids are a bit upset they don't get to see everyone this year. They aren't old enough to tell them why we aren't going. They will have fun with cousins next week at my parents house at least.

I never go shopping around black Friday, too crazy and packed. I'm actually kinda pissed I have to suffer through a packed grocery store today and it's nothing compared to the mall:lol:
:hugs:Harley, I am sorry you have to deal with that, but I agree with you that you're doing the right thing. It's important for your children to know that kind of behavior is not healthy. I hope your in-laws find a way to control themselves long enough to have family gatherings in the future.

Man, I must be getting old. I am semi wiped out running around picking up my “prepared” Thanksgiving meal, lol. There is like no parking anywhere and a million people at each place. Anyways, I am about to get on the road now to pick up DD (and 60%chance of rain coming too ). So the FOS pencil case would have to wait — that’s a good thing right? Have a good afternoon lovely gals
Enjoy your time with DD being home! That's a long drive, but it's loving of you to go there and back for her.

We're having dinner with friends at a hotel spread. I never shop on Black Friday--too crazy. I really don't buy much anymore for the holidays.
This will be fun! One year one of my siblings and I were living in the same town, and we went on a day trip and met up with a couple relatives at an old hotel for a delicious buffet. We had a great time. I hope you have a good time with friends!

A little bad buying post — I am thinking of getting a leather pencil case from FOS for $22.50. I have always wanted one but it’s never available. Light saddle color — not my first choice of color but a decent neutral.
I'm not able to talk you out of getting a pencil case. I don't have a Coach one though. I look forward to seeing yours!
They had pencil cases? Well, I guess it's a good thing I didn't see them. Those are my weakness.
:yes::tup:

Yum! That all sounds delicious. One year, we decided to have what we wanted instead of our usual meal, and after that the kids let us know how important our food traditions are. I like that you're doing your own special menu.
