Thanks LT and everyone . I am sorry about your bad news too — hope things will turn around for you soon.

I didn’t mean to drag everyone down. Just wanted to let you know why I have been online less (usually, not even drunken overseas holiday can keep me away ) and not contributing to LT’s steamy novel. I am sure Stick will find a new woodbae soon.

Anyways, hoping I can return full time and bag-obsessed soon.
:hugs:Don't worry about dragging us down. It's better to know how you're doing.

Congratulations! My sister and my daughter both graduated from ASU. My DH has a BS in computer science. Does your son know what he wants to do in his career?

Wow, small world, that's awesome!! Ryan has been interning with Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque for the last 4 summers...and for the last 2 years he's been working for them year round remotely from his apartment in Tempe. He will go back for this summer for his last 3 months of his internship, and hopes to get a permanent offer before the end of the summer. Ultimately, he wants to go back for his Masters either in project management or engineering management. He's on his way!! What does your DH do?

I'll share some happy news - my son graduated from Arizona State University yesterday with a B.S. in Computer Science! I'm a proud mama.

Congratulations! Can he be loaned out for minor technical issues? I almost beat a cashier with a rug last weekend when she refused to figure out how to get her scanner to read my 25% off coupon. We were talking major bucks and he could save a life. The end of that story is I finally figured out how to brighten my display so the scanner read it and she was allowed to live. But AtHome can kiss it for any future business from me. They need a techie ASAP! Future job awaits!

That sounds great!
DH and I retired early. We met when we were both systems engineers/analysts/designers/programmers for the same company. After working in the computer field, we started some businesses, then sold those and retired. Our son is an independent website designer/programmer consultant working out of his home.
