Okay all, FINALLY got a new addition. Best part is is didn't take 50% of my current bag funds. If you all remember @musiclover lovely Black Pebbled Grace bag w/SHW? snagged one of those today in excellent preloved condition.

So now i own, 2 Grace bags in
the "small"... the closest i have come to doing this has been with my longchamps LP's in how i have a mini SH and a small LH.

They are so uncommon used, let alone for this price so i thought why not? My grace has some bumps and such from a lot of us over the 3yrs i have had her so i felt this was a good idea plus the different leather and hardware is a nice.

Noticed since it's the standard pebbled it's lighter than mine, i have what they dubbed "super prince" which is an extra thick pebbled leather.

Pics will come tomorrow as i just cleaned and condition it and we are black as the inside of a cows stomach tonight.

Can’t wait to see it! Sounds like you got a good deal!

I hear ya lol There have definitely been periods where I don’t like anything they come out with. Going by promo pics for the next few seasons I’m not interested in much. But a lot of the pics are runway so who knows what else they have coming.

I’m excited to get some of the new Disney charms that come out soon!

Admit i have not looked. Coach makes great charms that is one thing i do still like about them and use.

I found a bag a couple days ago that I forgot I wanted to list, oops lol

I try to get 1 or 2 items listed every couple of days, but taking photos, writing up the listing, and researching potential pricing seems to take me forever! I try to get as much info in my listings as possible. And then I see other listings that have nothing but “good condition smoke free home” [emoji23] I wish I could do that but I feel like that’s asking for trouble.

You know it's funny, i try and not be to wordy and have found that to be quite successful, almost confuses some folks if i get to specific. Loads are just looking for that "name" and a good deal anyways... they aren't truly purse people.

So excited you found another Grace since this bag actually works well for you — can’t wait to see it.

I got a tidbit of information today from the Coach CS rep that was helping me order a replacement black Rogue whipstich tote that is sold out online. It seems there is a warehouse location with "a lot" of them in stock. It will be shipped overnight to me on Monday. This seemed odd to me so I asked "does that mean they will show up at the outlet?" She said, "I am not at liberty to say." Hmmm. If they show up at 70% off then I am paying $100 more at half price than they will be on the outlet. If they show up at 50% off then the price is the same. The rogues on the last FOS did not sell out at 50% off. And I could not request a gift box as she said the form she was using to order it did not allow it, but she requested anyway. This makes me think even more that these are going to outlet because they don't do gift boxes.

Anything is possible. We have all heard the "no way will this go to outlet" to find down the road, such and such went to the outlet.

We had a great time. Spent one day on Catalina Island, rode bikes from Venice to Santa Monica, went to the Getty Museum (HUGE!), and enjoyed being with DH's cousin. It rained while we were in the Getty, and we were very glad California got some rain. We saw some fire damage from that Woolsey Fire- so sad. DH played golf with his cousin and had fun, which was good because it's now 30 degrees here at home and going to snow tonight and tomorrow. :crybaby:

And YES! I am so relieved that I don't have any listings right now!

Sounds like a great trip overall, glad it was. We are in a massive cold snap right now ... yuck.

Some food for thought (at least for me). I was reading this week’s TPF Closet Confessional. This week’s author said that even owning 18 bags and switching/using them throughout the year — this amounts to each bag getting used about 2.5 to 3 weeks per year (and therefore it sits unused for about 49 weeks a year). Yikes! That doesn’t sound like a lot of use for those of us with 18 or more bags in our collection. Seeing it stated that way is pretty powerful. I am still hoping to get to 20 (I am very close) or at least don’t add anymore.

Sobering stats. I think it truly boils down to what your comfortable with. That's why i don't like a lot of bags, i am horrible at changing them so most go unused which doesn't sit comfortably with me.

I think that is true. I have all the details in list format so that it’s easy to read and then a paragraph (usually 2-3 sentences) describing the condition. I think the important stuff is the correct name, style #, color and dimensions. Those are the items I get annoyed with if they are missing from a listing lol

The other thing that always come to my mind that helps motivate me is knowing that no matter how many bags you have it is still easy to wish you had something different or new. What I mean by that is that it is easier to settle into smaller amounts of bags because you know having more doesn’t really solve the problem. I typically switch between types to help feel like I am making a change each time. So I might go from Dreamer to Dinky and then to Preston, to avoid boredom. And this way you get to use all of your bags. I do always still feel like everyone reaches a saturation point at some time. If a person is buying bags weekly, there is just no way to use them all.

I have found you have to be realistic, you can like something but doesn't mean it works for you. I have desires for certain styles of bags but know for a fact, 100% i cannot carry them...

Part of why i sold so many off, i cannot use them so wth am i keeping them for? and have avoided rebuying anything close to them falling back into the same trap.

I know what you mean — I want more bags despite having what any non-TPFer would call a “healthy collection”. Funny I don’t feel guilty about owning more than 20 shirts/various clothing items. But I have guilt about my bags/SLGs. I only have maybe 3 - 4 pairs of non-athletic shoes that I can wear without much pain (due to foot problems) — I should just donate/throw away all my old shoes that I can’t wear anymore. Maybe that’s why I covet purses because I don’t have another accessory like shoes to play with.

I'm not a shoe person, well i like looking at them but with narrow feet loads don't fit, i literately have only a few brands i will buy and style i am willing to wear lol I live in flip flops(Ipanema)... wear Blundstone boots, birkenstock sandals, sorel boots, have some keds and toms, plus love uggs for the cold...

List format is so much better. I hate when people write novels.
