I'm headed to Germany with DH for a week, fellow islanders. We're going to stay with a cousin for a few days and then spend time in Dusseldorf. Taking my Coach turnlock tote in green (crossgrain works so well for travel) and my trusty Fossil crossbody, which serves me well in cities. Enjoy your week!
Have a good time! I've never been to Germany and probably never will go, but it seems beautiful, and it seems a shame I won't since that is where my grandparents were from.

Hello, beautiful islanders! I am a big fan of this thread and love to read your posts and enjoy all of the wonderful things you and @LauraTracy post! I'm straggling ashore after a long swim from the mainland, clutching my PCE coupon in one hand, which I will use to buy the black/multi quilted Bowery and the rainbow/star bag charm. My SA says they have the Bowery in stock in the store, even though it's sold out online. I'll find out for sure in a few hours when she gets to work!

I've been a big fan of Coach bags dating back to their cool ads in fashion magazines from my teen years, and had a pretty large collection. I got overwhelmed, sold them off, moved to fewer, more expensive bags (Chloe, then Gucci and Chanel). I loved my two Chanel bags but felt that they were a little expensive for my current level of income, so I sold them and have a few Gucci's which I love. I really missed my Coach bags, though, so I got a metallic swagger at Christmas and vowed not to sell it this time! :D I've enjoyed reading your thread and know when LT comes back I"ll probably have the gift of an inappropriately dressed less-than-shapely man waving from the beach or something, but I'm prepared to take my punishment!

Thanks for listening, wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

I've gotten really good with SLGs, with the exception of keychains and purse charms. I have sold most of my extra wallets and wristlets. There are still a few I should sell. It feels good to get a lot of use out of one wallet before I get another. I've been using the same coin purse for years, and am just now considering replacing it.
I feel like I can use more tiny SLG's (not wallets) and hope to find them second hand, any brand. I don't have a coin purse and would like one. I like to have everything contained in pouches to stay organized and to protect the lining, and I use pouches all over the house this way; so they get used and enjoyed. I've never had charms until now and really like them! I have 2 from Coach with tea roses (the pink and poppy ones from the outlet) and a couple more from amazon. I really wanted the snowflake charm from Coach and missed it; so I got a silver one from amazon and love it!

Hi happibug. Thanks for sharing. Congrats in advance on your quilted Bowery (I really like that quilted look) — be ready for your first non-hot when LT returns. Hope to see a picture when you get it.

I've gotten more than half my charms from ebay. It is the best place to find older charms. Several I've paid more than retail for as some of the older ones are very desirable. I'm on the lookout right now for a new coin purse. I've been using an older Coach kisslock, which is really tiny. That is the size I want so it doesn't take up a lot of room in my bags, but I'm now looking at LV, Gucci, and other brands. It's hard to decide. I have another small Coach one but it is pristine with pink lining, and I can't bring myself to put dirty coins on that pretty lining.

The new updated app is driving me nuts. I said I wanted fewer notifications not none. How has everyone been?! No LT yet? Ive just transferred assignments at work so I don’t have much time to be on here this week.
Hi C. Good to see you. Good luck with your new assignment at work. Not much going on with me except I am trying to stay banned for the month of March (committing to a ban for a month at a time, kind of a low bar I am setting for myself but better than nothing, lol). Have a great weekend.

Do you have your collection on here? I'd love to see! I've wondered if I'll regret all these Coach bags and wish I'd gotten one really expensive one, but since I'm using bags as "useful accessories", I think this is the way to go for me. If I had a really expensive bag, I'd be afraid to use it. To me, the Coach bags are luxury though. I feel completely spoiled with them!

I just got a "really expensive" premium brand bag (Bottega Venetta) for under $100, used on ebay. I can't stop being a bargain hunter! My Balenciaga only cost $39.99 at Goodwill. I enjoy my bags more when they don't cost an arm and leg, because I'd be afraid to use them if I invested a lot into them. Even some of my Coach bags were pretty expensive by my standards. Several years ago, I went to Las Vegas and went to nearly every purse store, and tried with an open mind to choose a bag regardless of price. My favorite was a Coach that retailed for about $500. I ultimately ended up buying that purse on ebay for $150.

I think the quality of Coach, maybe not everything they make but at least some of it, is just as good as premium brands. I used to have a vintage Gucci and a similar vintage Coach from the same era. I did side by side comparisons, and there was no doubt in my mind that the Coach was nicer.

I've never posted my collection in one place on tpf. I've said before that I would need to use aerial photography to get them all in one photo.

Gosh, you always have the knack of finding these premier bags at bargain prices. How do you do it? Luck? Being at the right place at the right time? I can’t wait to see your new BV (I would love to try one some day). Just yesterday, I tallied up my premier bag expenses and it is sobering. But I put all of them into regular rotation and treat them the same as all my bags.

The Bal was complete luck! It was under some other purses in the case at Goodwill, and I wouldn't have seen it if I hadn't asked to see inside the cabinet. Then I was afraid to buy it in case it turned out fake. I doubt I would have bought it if it had cost more. The BV I bought a few minutes after it appeared on ebay. I probably wouldn't have gotten it except for the price and I really wanted to try the brand without too much of a risk. But it is purple and a good size for me. It doesn't have much weaving except for the handle and the way the seams are done. Did you see the one @carterazo got? It is amazing!
