Sure, no problem as to when you will join me on my mini ban — when you are ready. Glad you enjoyed using your lovely SpeedyB today — I always feel like I should try a SpeedyB since it is so classic but am always afraid I can’t do a hand carry bag like that even with the strap. I should borrow my Mom’s vintage Speedy to try it (she doesn’t use it anymore, she offered it to me but I didn’t think I would like it especially since it is quite patina-ed). Ideally i would love to try the discipline you have with your LV purchases — for me, say 1 premier bag, 1 contemporary bag and 1 SLG a year. Can you imagine? I already got my premier and contempory bags this year so I am out of luck with any more bag purchases this year. I should stick with one in and one out (but that is just about as bad since some of my bags don’t sell for months, even up to a year and a half.). Anyways, I hope I do better with my ban this year given that this is my 4th year on the island.
I will join you ladies after looking at that Faye.... My collection is huge and I don't really want anything else at the moment. Rose is a color I don't have. I am thinking of an MM or two but a few months down the road. There are really cute things at Coach right now, but most of them I need to see irl. Luckily, I don't have time to go by the store. I am also unwilling to dish a lot of $. I am loving the pictures of the metallic maibox bag. I love that printed interior and the little roses on the clasps for closing. Maybe it's worth the money, maybe it's not. But you know what, I won't know if it is because I don't have the time to go scouting. I also feel rather weird ordering a $600 just to look at it. (Because - we all know I won't pay full price for it... [emoji56] [emoji2] )

I need to go do a little cooking, but I cannot help responding. I had a conversation with a community college instructor who teaches microbiology, maybe going back 6 or 7 seven years ago when I was teaching. Her students had a lab assignment and it involved estimated the growth of a bacteria colony. Something along the lines of if it takes X minutes for Bacteria A to reproduce and you have YY # of bacteria, how many bacteria are there after 2 hours?
She had students, more than a handful, debating the correct answer. After getting nowhere with them, she had them explain their calculation from start to finish. The students were basing their calculations on 40 minutes in an hour.

Huh???? What?!? 40 mins??

Okay kinda considering this my shoulder strength is fairly good it’s just crossbody that is a nightmare

Boring black lol but no stains, color transfer and will not show wear as easily over the years

Big enough for a light sweater in the summer and even so to pack one for DGS

Epic leather it’s Roots lol

Awesome priced like actually would be fully + covered by sales funds

OK here is my random purse thought of the day. It is hard to resist buying bags when you start buying a lot for a period of time. I think I have to approach it as follow — my purse-resisting “muscle” (for a lack of a better word) must be trained to be strong or at least back to normal (lol). Like if you break your leg, it gets weak and needs to slowly be trained back to normal function. So that’s what I need to do. I will start slow and go a month at a time so no buying bags for me in March. It’s hard to remember but outside of TPF, our/my level and frequency of bag-buying is not the norm. Anyone who wants to join me (after receiving your already bought goodies) is welcome to do so.

Basically shopping and adding bags becomes a habit, thrill of the hunt & buy no longer about actually stopping and enjoying what we have, totally get that! I think we've all fallen into this trap, realizing it is the first step to stopping it.

Updated with the purse pet, Froggy! Lol! View attachment 3993134

Okay that is stupid cute... done with this...

Isn’t that why we are here in banned island?

It will get easier, you will find or have found out that not all purses work for you or you just need one of that type. I own one clutch in black and one crossbody because I don’t need or use or really like that type of purse but I have an occasional use for one.

I like totes, they hold a crap load of stuff that I somehow can’t leave home without and then I get to use all my SLG that I have a problem with buying so they don’t become black holes but organized chaos.

And it’s ok to like a purse and even lust them but you have to remember what you have home hidden that closet.

Really goods sales are the hardest things to resist or they can be easy if Coach doesn’t invite you to their sales

Agreed, i have come to learn i probably need three bags? I have a few i may just keep for a bit longer because of my comfort zone of being uncomfortable parting with them  but overall i'm clearing well.

Bitter reality= I don't change bags often, don't have a lifestyle that suits multiple bags and finally can't carry half the bloody stuff out there anyways...unless i like numb arms. :whut:

I've been swimming.

I bought the KH coin purse with the heart and leather sequins. It's really cute and I love it. I have a soft spot for coin purses and this is a nice big one compared to my wee Madison leopard coin purse/key ring. I think I can use it like a wallet because of the card slots inside.

I bought the pink camera bag with the heart but I'm not going to keep it. I think it's adorable and the lining is printed and cute, but I do not think I'll get much use from it. And I wear black and navy a lot so I'm worried about colour transfer from carrying it crossbody.

I need to start working out and strengthening my purse resisting muscle. I'll be joining you, IM, but I will have to let this latest PCE pass by first.

I LOVE the coin purse!! I’ve always loved coin purses like that with the kisslock, such a vintage feel to it.

It depends on how far away and how long I travel. I normally don't carry my coach. I have a Belen Echandia bag in a neutral that goes with everything. I use it specifically for travel - long trips . It can fit a lot and is made of very sturdy leather. It's a darker color, so it won't look dirty and I can actually bear to put it on the floor of the airplane when necessary. [emoji15] I also recently bought a Tory Burch foldover clutch that has a full size wallet and fits all the essentials. It's my wallet, light crossbody, and dressy clutch. If I am going somewhere that will require dressing up a lot, then I have taken my tearose dinky in chalk and/or my red RM MAC in patent leather. Other times I've just travelled with my MM Zhoe in cobalt when it's just for the weekend.
I agree with this. If I'm going to a conference in the US, I usually carry a large Edie or sometimes a turnlock tote. Outside the US I may take an Edie or tote on the plane, but I have an older Fossil crossbody for everyday. I usually take a black bag because of dirt on trains, planes, taxis, and subways. This Fossil is very easy to pack--goes flat in a bag.
