I have a simple near vintage duffle type bag in black with silver hardware. I like the shape more than the color. It seems a bit boring for me but I have it jazzed up with a fancy fob. I also have mini studded Preston in black. The rivets are antiqued brass. Then I have a very vintage flap black bag with brass hardware and a vintage saffiano satchel with brass. The saffiano with brass looks very elegant. I also have Dakotah in black. I guess the hardware was called gunmetal. I have a quilted camera bag by Henri Bendel in black with silver. Without even trying, I accumulated a lot of black bags.View attachment 3972906 View attachment 3972909 View attachment 3972912
I forgot! I recently got another. A vintage pebbled drawstring.
Oh, gosh, I just remembered another one! A Brighton small crossbody.
I love your black bags! I love color, but there is something about black bags-so stylish, classic, goes with everything I wear. Until recently, I only ever used a black bag.

I wonder what it is about the bag that makes that happen to your arm? Best to not use it anymore. Good thing there are lots of other choices out there.

I have two pinched nerves so certain bags make my arms go numb... i cannot wear anything crossbody at all, and shoulder bags can be hit & miss.. definitely not for long periods. I am using the LP as a storage bag for my SLG's lol pricey storage bag... but i refuse to sell it, the prices have risen a lot since i bought mine.

It's the compartments that I love for the organization of my things. Also, it doesn't stick out too much when you arm carry it. It's definitely much more structured than our Grace bags but in a good way. Mercer sits up nicely and doesn't puddle at all.

Good points! i have played with one once at the bay ages ago... really liked it but never found a sale price.

Legos are amazing! I love seeing the things children and grown ups come up with! One of my boys has started making stop motion movies with them. I can't wait to see them! We keep them in Ikea Trofast bins as well as some large metal beverage tubs that blend in with our décor...and built creations are under the beds, on shelves, closets, and in more Trofast bins. Did you know there is a book, something like "My Lego City", that has stickers to put on your Legos to make shops, street signs, etc? I have 3 boys and all they ever ask for as gifts right now are Legos. They asked why I like bags all of a sudden, and I said, "You know how you like Legos?" ;)

My son used to do stop motion with them too! I know we still have all of my son's so the small sizes, but i gave away my duplo which i now kinda regret.. we had nice sets, dino's, winnie the Pooh etc.. but it was overwhelming to keep it all.

That books sounds so cool! i cannot wait to buy more lego again.. for now DGS is to little for much, he's only 19mths but before long he'll be old enough to really get into it..

I have been looking for bright bags for the summer which is how the small LC entered my life. I like it on a hot day when I want to save my leather bags. I also bought the Chalk Rogue 25 but I'm using it more as a going out bag.

I love your comment about quiet bags and wardrobe. To me that means classic elegance and discretion, excellent qualities in a handbag. There are many times when a quiet bag is exactly what is needed.

LP's come in the most lovely colors! A great nylon bag is fabulous especially for summertime. Rogue are nice bags, i have seen them once in the boutique but now it's closed i won't have access to FP bags unless they are deletes at the factory.

Since we’re talking about bags and colors.....

What colors do you tend to be drawn to in handbags? Not necessarily that you own those colors, but what draws your attention.

Def black (think I established that lol) and rich vibrant colors. Esp blues and greens - cobalt, sapphire, turquoise, teal, emerald, kelly green.
I always notice bright or vibrant colors, especially yellow, bright greens, turquoise, bright purples, jade, etc.

Black has always been my favorite for bags, but my 2 other favorites are red and vibrant medium to dark teal/turquoises. Those 3 colors go with most of my wardrobe, and the turquoises and teals are my absolute favorites! So I'm focusing on gathering more of that color range-there is so much variety in there! I'd love a nice jewel toned blue or ultra violet, and a bright jade is gorgeous! Silver hardware looks best on my cool "winter" undertones, but I am not picky as long as the bag color/style makes me smile. I don't look good in brown, but I'd like a dark brown bag someday because it is such a gorgeous color on leather. Is there a cool toned brown? I have leather planners in a rainbow of colors and finally got a brown one and love the look of it!

It snowed something awful last night. I didn't even carry a bag today. Slipped my LV cles in my coat pocket instead. Must remember to put it back in my bag to go to work tomorrow....the problem with switching bags.

We did a bit of flurries but are set for a melt and a bunch of rain. SO flooding obviously, and so much for the snowmobiles lol I just ran with my MK phone wallet for errands today, left grace in the car.. too tired to care.
