I have a simple near vintage duffle type bag in black with silver hardware. I like the shape more than the color. It seems a bit boring for me but I have it jazzed up with a fancy fob. I also have mini studded Preston in black. The rivets are antiqued brass. Then I have a very vintage flap black bag with brass hardware and a vintage saffiano satchel with brass. The saffiano with brass looks very elegant. I also have Dakotah in black. I guess the hardware was called gunmetal. I have a quilted camera bag by Henri Bendel in black with silver. Without even trying, I accumulated a lot of black bags.View attachment 3972906 View attachment 3972909 View attachment 3972912
I forgot! I recently got another. A vintage pebbled drawstring.
Oh, gosh, I just remembered another one! A Brighton small crossbody.

All so nice! you have an advantage where you get take your bright fobs and dress up a more basic bag, looks so sharp!! Honestly though, sometimes a simple bag is just nice.... lately bags are getting way to over the top for my tastes.

oooh this is so nice. See a mercer i would consider, it's a satchel but different ish enough than Grace to justify.. i think.. lol.
It's the compartments that I love for the organization of my things. Also, it doesn't stick out too much when you arm carry it. It's definitely much more structured than our Grace bags but in a good way. Mercer sits up nicely and doesn't puddle at all.

Does anyone else still have a pending credit card charge for their fos purchases? Mine still is. [emoji19] I don't recall ever waiting this long to be charged. Now I'm worried because the two items I got are sold out. Sigh. [emoji58]

All colors? [emoji23]
It'll depend on what I see. I'm attracted to a shape first, then color and then size. I am prone to look at a bag and think, " hmmm wouldn't it be even better in such and such color?" [emoji2]

I think a color can totally turn you off a bag, i once saw a lovely longchamp crossbody soooo soft, great price but it was yellow, like bright bus yellow and i heavily dislike that color... completely turned me off the bag...

I prefer to bake too. I love legos! my DGS is just getting into them, i don't love them all over the floor but they are just fun no matter your age imo.
Legos are amazing! I love seeing the things children and grown ups come up with! One of my boys has started making stop motion movies with them. I can't wait to see them! We keep them in Ikea Trofast bins as well as some large metal beverage tubs that blend in with our décor...and built creations are under the beds, on shelves, closets, and in more Trofast bins. Did you know there is a book, something like "My Lego City", that has stickers to put on your Legos to make shops, street signs, etc? I have 3 boys and all they ever ask for as gifts right now are Legos. They asked why I like bags all of a sudden, and I said, "You know how you like Legos?" ;)

Yes, it is. Black metallic. I agree about the metallic, and that's why I think I may get this one. I wear a lot of green, black, and grey (and denim), and I think this would be a good option. I have too many big bags, and right now, they're killing my sprained shoulder! :crybaby: In fact, I just decided to sell a couple.

oh, im sorry. i can relate so many of mine sit dust bagged because my arms go numb! I actually sold quite a few because of this...

I've always wanted a nice brightly colored bag for summer but i cannot do it, just cannot. I don't like them on me, i like them on others and on the shelf but since i am not a real color person with my clothes, subdued would be my best description, I like my bags to be equally quiet.
I have been looking for bright bags for the summer which is how the small LC entered my life. I like it on a hot day when I want to save my leather bags. I also bought the Chalk Rogue 25 but I'm using it more as a going out bag.

I love your comment about quiet bags and wardrobe. To me that means classic elegance and discretion, excellent qualities in a handbag. There are many times when a quiet bag is exactly what is needed.

I agree! It makes it more interesting. I see bags on tpf all the time that I love the look of, but know they will never work for my lifestyle. Good thing we can post pix and enjoy each others. [emoji3]

For sure! i love looking at bags, i don't care if they actually work for me many don't for multiple reasons but it doesn't stop me from enjoying the eye candy lol...

I always "intend" too but often don't get that far, i am just busy and cannot take the time to enure everything gets switched out .. plus some bags i have don't really fit my thick winter gloves and it's still winter last i looked
It snowed something awful last night. I didn't even carry a bag today. Slipped my LV cles in my coat pocket instead. Must remember to put it back in my bag to go to work tomorrow....the problem with switching bags.

Yes, I think the type of leather does make a difference. For some reason, this pebbled leather doesn't seem prone to color transfer. I had a cloth bag that got it really bad. I think one of the reasons was because the surface was rough so it rubbed more.

Makes sense, i mainly use pebbled leather bags.. of coarse Grace is navy so you'd never see denim transfer
