That's why I'm happy my only pet now is a tortoise, who has a life expectancy of over 100 years. If nothing goes wrong, he will outlive me. Another benefit is that we can go on vacation and he is just fine without us.

I posted the above before I read all these sweet (and sad pet) posts. Isn't it amazing and awesome how much joy pets bring to our lives? Even the memories of them make us smile thru the tears. I'm convinced that any woman with teenagers needs a dog cause a dog is always happy to see you and thinks you are brilliant (even when your kids don't)
Whopping topic change: This afternoon I ended up exchanging that black flower embroidered Lexy I was obsessing over for this one. (My daughter gave the embroidered one a thumbs down...She's 27 and always right about that stuff for me. (Not in an obnoxious way. She just knows my style really well) This is going to be a good choice. It's extremely light and I think I'll enjoy the material. Actually, mine are reversible so animal when I want or pure taupe when I'm not. I roll both ways.
