Influencers and Hermes

There was a pattern noticed, thats why the speculation of Miss F began in first place.

Started out with when a major influencer was invited to Hermès Fashion Show. Props to her and the team for the invite (the content was cool to see). Of course they posted content and tagged Miss F.

Move forward to last few months, members from this team started tagging other influencers who went to FSH and met with Miss F...in the last couple of months...including ones we all know and heard of.

Every single of these influencers tagged each other on their posts and stories....including Miss F. And we know from their posts/stories/YT they ALL bought some type of jewelry from Miss F...and of course magically a quota bag appeared..which of course they showed off. Common denominator: Miss F.

Now, are you going to tell me this is a just a coincidence? If so then, why tag each other when there was no mention of them in each other posts before? Maybe its networking for followers/clicks..which is fine but I don't like when SAs and Influencers think we don't know whats going on..there is no TRANSPARENCY! Not asking SAs to spill their guts but they are there to make sales..at the end of the day its a business! They have departmental goals to meet.

Bless everyone's heart who thinks FSH is just where "magic" just happens to a group of well-connected influencers.

Also worth mentioning this pattern is being discussed in private groups as well..others noticed before I did. Look what happened in DD in Miami..managers got fired for a reason...someone noticed a pattern...and glad Hermès cracked down on them!

This forum is wonderful because the exchange of discussion is transparent and take everything with a grain of salt.

Peace and love to all! ❤️
I totally agree with you dear ! Hermès should crack down on employees , and the rules should be straight across the board for everyone. No extra privileges due to influencers large following !

I don’t begrudge people trading bags for clout but come on. Everyone knows what time it is.
Exactly! Everyone is out to hustle a bag but don't act like-SAs and Influencers-both we don't know whats up. Its obvious too because you know which Influencers can actually really afford the bags in the first place...most of them will just buy, unbox, and resell after they get all the exposure/clicks/followers. Its all show and the SAs are in on it.

Very well written. It’s an unfair system when one can’t get an appointment unless they are a popular instagrammer. The SA’s know who they are selling too, the IG profiles and the attention it brings. I feel that those who unbox their Hermes goods and tag their SA’s all have a personal agenda - which is to get a coveted bag, in a hard to acquire size and then broadcast to the world how wonderful there SA is and how everyone can achieve the same. When in reality it’s BULL SH** !

Personal agenda could be to acquire as many bags as possible or to increase their popularity as a stepping stone for the next stage in one’s future.

Then these Instagrammers direct everyone who follows them to the online link giving thousands of people false hope that they too can get a bag in PARIS by applying for the lottery and maybe purchasing fine jewellery.

If SA were genuinely interested in making Hermes dreams come true then they shouldn’t be appearing to only fulfil the wishes of those with thousands of followers on IG by not making them apply for appointments. Why not make the wish come true for normal private people who simply want a bag or 3.

FSH SA (no name being mentioned but the one who recently left) selling mini bags to those who write for the the “other” popular handbag blog also are “lucky” to get bags from their home countries of USA and when they travel (India being another one). So Hermes SA only want to to sell to those who make the brand even more popular.

I feel Influencers - I hate that word - are false. They have no idea what “normal” people go through to get an appointment or how they are treated in store. They created a hype and the SA’s have pandered to them and the proof is what we have all witnessed on IG for some time now.

Well said dear ! I’m so happy we can have open honest discussions on this topic. Normal people like ourselves want to score bags and etc ! I’m so sick of feeling like me and my money is not important or enough, and I don’t have a large following on social media to help me. It really makes me upset and I have stop following influencers because they all tell lies about Hermes journey and brag about how sweet and kind their SA it’s a bunch of BULL$$$$ !

Thank you!!!! And thank you for saying what everyone else feels!!! This is such a important discussion to have that we know influencers and SAs are absolutely not transparent at all! Social media is fake..the influencers are fake..and the SAs act like some type of gate keepers..equivalent to club bouncers. LOL

Bouncer : if your names not down you are not coming in …

Hermes : no appointment no bag

Instagrammers : keep trying honey, we all have a tough time purchasing a Kelly 20 because it’s the only bag us “influencers” need. Ohhh, buy a piece of RTW or FJ, that may help you … I’m not allowed to share my SA as you know it’s a secret club and they don’t want to be harassed by the general public for bags. 2 minutes later, tags there SA on IG as the sweetest person they have ever met in the world. Eye roll !

LOL !

100% correct! And to your point this same blogger shows off flying in 1st class..but doesn't show its Air India!!!! LoL. 1st class Air India is dirt cheap! She wants to provide an illusion shes wealthy...which I am sure she can afford the bags however no more or less than the rest of us who also can afford them. She also wears this awful gaudy pink ring...its not Bollywood, lady! Another observation is that notice how she doesn't post about H Chicago store anymore (if you view her older posts she used to shop there)..now its only NYC & FSH..one can speculate she has two profiles..or maybe even under her hubby? She also rarely shows any of her birkin bait..every now and then there will be a shoe or RTW. Also a former VCA SA mentioned she likes take pics and videos but doesn't actually buy alot. Again just to provide an illusion of lifestyle. She and her team posts the same articles over and over again.

Back to your point on Fine Jewellery SA who just left FSH- notice on all the companies she tagged in her posts/stories..some of the same "influencers" also tagged them! Like Kosha brand. Its almost like she wanted to build more of a following before she left and the other influencers helped her (question is in exchange for...?). One of the influencers "teaches" you on how to be a lady/socialite..and dress..etc..OMG really?! And posing together in the same pics with the other influencer who shamelessly promotes her cheap jewelry brand while buying H fine jewelry! And all in the pic and posts with Fine Jewellery FSH SA who just left!!! LoL you can't make this stuff up!!! And this SA is playing the innocent- I am so nice believe in the magic-card!!!! Seriously! LOL

A while back MC noted that H pays attention to social media. Seeing multiple influencers easily acquire bags these last few years (even micro ones) seemed to support this. But lately it seems the tables are turning on influencers with the fbs and generally people seeming to be annoyed or put off by influencers flaunting their bags on social media or being greedy at fsh. Even influencers who typically didn’t annoy are greatly annoying now. Will h change its strategy I wonder or will it continue to cater to the flexers. This used to be such a low key brand but now it’s so loud. Like LV and Gucci loud. I still love the brand but it no longer sits on a pedestal for me. It’s lost its magic. I feel like it’s really sold itself out with the influencers. Plus the resellers have really ruined it for me.

Totally spot on! Its kind of become tacky now...especially since the influencers in general CANNOT afford without flogging off the Birkin bait! Its obvious! I think Hermes is already kind of changing the game at FSH at least you cannot make an appt with the same SA, to my knowledge of what I have read and heard (and please correct me if I am wrong). Eventually, the way the economy is heading, these influencers will dwindle as the demand for luxury will slow and harder to justify the value of bags and the bait will harder to sell. Only the wealthy will be left standing.

OMG! Yes 100% Accurate AF! LoL

Does anyone else feel like social media has sort of ruined the Birkin bag? You see it everywhere on all these tacky ‘influencers’ - even if these bags are fake there’s still some major brand dilution. I have a couple of birkins from my mom, but am afraid to wear them out because their symbolic meaning seems to be conspicuous consumption and ‘flex’ culture now
