Influencers and Hermes

She has been with the brand for over four decades that’s a long time just to walk away from a brand . I know in the past she got a reprimanded , due to dancing ,showing Hermes items and etc . Her content has changed and she stop showing items ……. Hermes is a very conservative brand and doesn’t like an SA to behave in that matter . Also , she was able to get many influencers bag appts and maybe regular people started to complain to management and etc ! Due to they weren’t able to get quota bag ,but you see someone else get one due to how many followers they have …….*in my opinion which is not fair , they should have to apply appt website not get special entry. Now that she no longer there , a small chance she could loose her following! We will see in time ❤️

She seems like a free spirit person and wants to March to her own drums !
This! Glad someone else noticed this! Everyone keeps saying how nice she is..which I am sure she is..but at the end of the day she wanted to capitalized on her position and wanted to get $$. I mentioned this before..noticed how every single influencer bought fine jewelry from her before scoring an a quota! And some of these so called "influencers" you know are just resellers! So I concur... def UNFAIR!

I wrote in the unpopular section that I’m glad to see the back of these types of SA’s. I wonder how difficult it will be for social media people to get bags now. Hate the word influencers as they don’t influence me to buy anything whatsoever!

I told someone today that I have yet to meet anyone who actually likes influencers. Or, rather, anyone who is willing to admit that they like influencers.

I will admit that I follow one hair influencer (because she does hair really well!). But I've never followed or even really explored any luxury influencers or anything like that. But I also can't stand vlogs, so I guess they just aren't speaking to me.

There is a local influencer who is unhappy with how our local store treats her. She was given a Birkin bag with minimal spending before gaining fame and more money. However, she now wants to be treated differently and receive quota bags. When the store didn't comply with her request, she began to criticize the store and its employees.

She even started a new profile in a neighboring country and began to praise that store, despite having to spend a significant amount of money to get her bags. It is difficult to understand why some influencers behave like children when they don't get what they want. It's worth noting that all the boutiques in the region are owned by the same person. Therefore, by switching locations instead of building a relationship with her home store, she now has to travel for every purchase.

Im over a

lm Overexaggerating ! Lol , but 2011 is a very long time to be with a company! Just to walk away

You probably meant 'for decades', four decades sounds pretty specific. When I write on my phone and get home to my computer, I'm horrified what my autocorrect or predictive text has come up with.

I knew a SA who worked at one H store for 27 years and walked away. It seems at H people stay for a long time - or leave almost immediately. Hermes is known to have far more stringent rules of conduct than other luxury mega-brands, but many stay for the love of the products or prestige of working for them.

I think influencing is a job in itself. Maybe she feels she paid her dues. She probably has enough inside knowledge to provide good content for her career. The Blonde Avenue's mother (also worked for H for a very long time) got away with it - until she was asked to stop. I thought employees have to sign NDAs at the recruitment stage but it's something that luxury houses will have to think about in the future.

The mother of Blond Avenue was asked to stop? I wondered already, so that explains a lot!

It's a very weird job. I suppose it's not unlike sales-on-commission work, just a bigger audience and smaller percentages. They get likes/subscribers/followers because people trust them, then they make sure their followers buy stuff - through them. They make you visit sites and dump cookies on your computer and phones and take a cut of any 'action' - kinda like those holiday excursion coach tours that get kick-backs from all the tourist stores along the way to wherever and back.

There is no commission earned on personal sales in France. Miss Faubourg (me) wasn’t fired. And honesty is very important to me. So no, I never got $$ for selling a bag, or anything for that matter. I do not appreciate the negative things being said about me here. Kindness and honesty, people. It’s a really simple concept. And…It’s better to have all the facts before posting speculative accusations that sit on the internet for years.

Your candidness has provided the appropriate statement & cleared the air in a manner of speaking
Thank you...

Thank you for clearing the air.

This is a "forum" where we allowed to speculate and dicuss.

Can you understand from our point of view when there are multiple/group of "influencers" with large followings posting on social media with you, showing off their jewelry purchases, and magically a quota bag appears? We are not allowed to state names, otherwise I would. Seems like there was a networking system in place from an outsiders POV.

I personally find it hard to believe all of these influencers obtained a quota on their own especially since we know how the lottery system is unforgiving.

You may not earn comission, however all of these "influencers" were linked to you when they were presented with their quota..and we know this from their posts, stories, etc.

And certainly it was not from "letting the magic happen". We all know from our personal experience, other SAs and former SAs how the system works and which departments gain a higher success rate for quotas.

You certainly do not owe us members any explanation however you cannot expect us not to speculate.

Wishing you the best of success and again thank you for your response.

As I've said elsewhere in this thread, I'm not really up-to-date on luxury influencers, but I think (if I've followed everything correctly) the "speculative accusations" weren't really meant to be accusatory, nor were they meant in a malicious way.

But as others have said, I, too, look forward to reading your future posts and seeing what you do next!

Paris SAs can give out appointments under their own discretion. The more likely response to all your speculation is that these influencers were kind and bonded with some SAs under commonalities. Many often forget SAs are people too who can click with customers on the honest love and appreciation of the brand or a more personal note. There are just as many non influencers who are able to get appointments in Paris without using the lottery, but since they aren’t influencers, it is not publicly available on YouTube or social media.

Yet, I do think Hermes potentially may like these influencer success stories in Paris as it portrays Paris as a magical place where Hermes dreams can come true. Also, these influencer unboxings in Paris tend to be very personal and celebratory rather than just flexing. The SAs and influencers seem to have fun finding the perfect bag and trying them on.

Thank you so for your honest feedback. I do believe if Miss Faubourg started to tell her Hermes secrets , she will be blackballed/frowned upon within Hermes upper management. I don’t think she wants to be in hot waters with big H ! ❤️

There was a pattern noticed, thats why the speculation of Miss F began in first place.

Started out with when a major influencer was invited to Hermès Fashion Show. Props to her and the team for the invite (the content was cool to see). Of course they posted content and tagged Miss F.

Move forward to last few months, members from this team started tagging other influencers who went to FSH and met with Miss F...in the last couple of months...including ones we all know and heard of.

Every single of these influencers tagged each other on their posts and stories....including Miss F. And we know from their posts/stories/YT they ALL bought some type of jewelry from Miss F...and of course magically a quota bag appeared..which of course they showed off. Common denominator: Miss F.

Now, are you going to tell me this is a just a coincidence? If so then, why tag each other when there was no mention of them in each other posts before? Maybe its networking for followers/clicks..which is fine but I don't like when SAs and Influencers think we don't know whats going on..there is no TRANSPARENCY! Not asking SAs to spill their guts but they are there to make sales..at the end of the day its a business! They have departmental goals to meet.

Bless everyone's heart who thinks FSH is just where "magic" just happens to a group of well-connected influencers.

Also worth mentioning this pattern is being discussed in private groups as well..others noticed before I did. Look what happened in DD in Miami..managers got fired for a reason...someone noticed a pattern...and glad Hermès cracked down on them!

This forum is wonderful because the exchange of discussion is transparent and take everything with a grain of salt.

Peace and love to all! ❤️
