I have not found the one and only perfect bag and probably never will, but I have established that I like satchel shape or crossbodys. These work best for me and I think this is as close as i will ever get.

I have the same problem. Every time I buy a purse, something happens that didn't quite make it over the hump. And there's no way of knowing until you carry the darn thing. I think that once upon a time about 25 years ago, back once Stone Mountain was doing a decent leather Bag, I found a burgundy narrow tote, vertical in measure. I had it in layaway but I had to let it go because it was too much afford in the end.

I would never own just one bag because, to me, there is no one perfect bag for all situations, but if I absolutely had to choose one out of my current bags, then I would pick my Coach Medium Pebbled Borough in Black with gold hardware.

Perhaps that has always been my issue... Maybe I'm just not a one-bag kind of gal. I want to be though, I'm trying to be a minimalist and I just can't figure this question out.

This would be my choice. LV speedy B 25 in Celeste . It's the most beautiful blue and it goes with almost everything! Actually I'd wear it even if it didn't go with the outfit because it's so gosh darn beautiful ! I love that it can be handheld , shoulder or crossbody ! The leather & hardware is divine! I could go on & on.... [

Lately this has been my urban spirit backpack that I added a shoulder strap to. It fits the perfect amount for me and when I wear it on my shoulder it passes as a shoulder bag.
