It would have to be a sturdy day bag which can hold quite a bit.
I only have one such bag in my collection (so far!) and it's my large Pashli Satchel

The size is just right and it's in this nice taupe colour.
I had a synthetic skinny scarf lying about that cost me literally 2 pounds so I thought I'll wrap it around the front handle and as it turns out it goes very well with the bag!

I think by now I go for my medium black Pekaboo. Perfect size. It's the monster so it is classy from the outside and there is my little friend inside to give it a twist and to protect me
I have a defender in zucca for it and one of the red velvet straps so I can vary the style.

Kurt Geiger Kensington XXL. This is the only bag I own straight up doubles of in 2 different colors&materials. It's big enough to carry all my essentials incl. a water bottle, umbrella, scarf etc. It's formal enough so it fits all occasions and it sits so comfortably on my shoulder without slipping even when it's full.
Mine are in soft leather/Teal color and black/white tweed.

I haven't found a bag that I liked so much that I would wear it for the rest of my life. But then again, I am new to handbags, only started collecting last year. As for now I am enjoying reading purseforum and researching bags during my free time. I love reading through threads like this, it's very interesting and helpful!

From my own collection, my navy crocodile Jimmy Choo, which I’ve been carrying for years.

im collecting a range of bags, but when the Choo completely wears out-it’s my workhorse -then I’d Have to replace it with a genuine alligator dark navy/indigo real alligator…

that’s why my other bags are in much better condition!

I just checked, I picked my black Chanel Jumbo back in 2015 (I can not believe how fast 10 years have gone by!). I still have and love that bag. Nowadays, I am more into top handle bags, so I would chose my black Hermès Kelly 35 with gold hardware. Since it is in the retourne style and it is in Togo leather, you can dress it up or down and the strap makes it even more practical.
