It is desirable because it is pony express inspired. Plus anything with the anniversary lining is usually popular. It was a limited edition. They didn't make many of these. You almost never see them. I think the hangtag should be marked Bleecker Street limited edition. It is a better size than the 2012 Legacy Pony Express inspired bag. I don't know why Coach doesn't make more Pony Express inspired styles since it is so desirable.
I love the Pony Express and regret not Pony-ing up the big bucks to buy one about 5 years ago when they were available occasionally. I haven't seen a Pony Express on ebay since the rough one I bid on about 8 mos ago.

I think it is the square shape of the Erin bag that I don't love. It is probably more functional with the square shape though.

The Japanese Erin is selling for about $1100 USD but free shipping from Japan.

The little 2012 version is definitely a lot cuter, but not as usable. You can get that one for a decent price.

I’m wanting to buy this vintage coach bag and the seller says that it is made in 1978 and I don’t think that is correct so somebody with more personal knowledge than I could they please point me in the direction of finding out the exact year of this bag, please and thank you!?

There's no way to determine exact age for bags made before 1994 unless they were styles only made for a short time. This style was made for years. It could have been made any time between 1978 and 1988.

Hi all! I’ve just submitted this for our excellent authenticators to provide their expertise on authenticity. But I also am not nearly as knowledgeable about newer styles than the old ones. Would anyone be willing to help me ID these two bags? There aren’t many useful pics to go on. Thanks so much! 🙏🙏

ETA: Navy City Tote? and Black Pebble Turnlock Edie 36855? Were all the City Totes MFF?

Hello!
I’ve been looking everywhere for the bag that Olivia Wilde has in those pictures. From my research I somewhat gathered that it was a version of an Ergo (feel free to correct me!) Because I thought I had figured out what bag it was, I went ahead and purchased what I thought it was off of Poshmark.
However the bag I received was much smaller! It was about 16W x 12L with the straps making it 20. Her bag is much much larger than that. I’ve searched everywhere online and this seems to be the biggest version of the bag I can find.
Am I looking for the wrong bag? Does anyone know what size hers is so I can search that?
This is the Maude ergo xxl tote:) hope that’s helpful

Happy Easter to all who celebrate! I was curious if anyone would be able to let me know what these two bags are just off these individual pictures. Apologies, I don’t have anymore. In case y'all recognize my posts on here, I’ve mentioned I’m new to loving Coach. These bags were posted in a Reddit thread a few months ago by a guy who picked them up in bulk at an estate sale from someone who had them basically unused for decades. I was too new to appreciating these bags at the time so I never followed up to see where he ended up listing them (they’d be likely gone by now anyway). But I’ve thought about them several times since!

Looking through catalogs (truly with no other info), I wonder if one of these might be a shoulder bag and the one with the turnlock, a Stewardess?

Would the color be olive for both? Pic of the beautiful green suede from one fo them included. Thanks in advance ❤️IMG_3834.webpIMG_3833.webpIMG_3832.webp

Without measurements or creeds, my guesses are that the one with the turnlock is #9530 small shoulder bag. The bigger bag is a 9170 classic pouch, also called classic shoulder bag. Both of these styles were made for many years. There was a green color called sage that was made in the late 70s through the early 80s.

Sage! Wow you’re awesome. I don’t think I’d come across this color (or it somehow didn’t register before today) so I was really focused on Olive and Loden trying to match up the colors and they weren’t feeling right. Thank you so much.
And yeah, definitely know it was a bit of a shot in the dark since we have no additional identifying details but your guesses feel correct, and if not correct, the images in the catalog were exactly I really needed. Honestly knowing the color Sage is so massively helpful. I can look out for bags from that era in that color.

Thanks again ❤️
