New promo art for Season 3. Interesting concept and I really like it. Klaus looks the best IMO.

^Actually each character has different kind of fruit and choice of fruit is connected to their story in TVD.
Katherine has pomegranate - fatal fruit from story of Persephone, where it has dual meaning of life and death, rebirth and eternal life. Also she is femme fatal.

Klaus has a pear, sign of eternal life. I'm not sure what Stefan is holding - an orange or maybe an apricot. Damon is holding an apple, forbidden fruit. His feelings for Elena are can be seen as forbidden fruit. Also he has to choose between being more human or being more vampire.

I'm really surprised designers and especially producers went with something like this. It's complex and certainly not obvious. I like that posters look like paintings.

Which is what the apple in Twilight signified as well. I just thought Damon holding the bloody apple was a nice twist. I happen to like it.

Oddly enough, I took it as Damon is the forbidden fruit and messing with him will result in blood.
I like the pomegranate. The duality of Katherine and elena. 2 sides of same being, 1/2 the year (life) in hades/ 1/2 in the light on the mortal plane. I'll have to research the others. Thanx for the find. Ian tweeter Perez article about these. Wonder if Ian googles self to find out what press he's getting. Or if ppl just forward to him? I wonder what I would do if I were unlucky enough to be famous.

See that's good thing when you have posters like this - they keep you thinking or at least wondering ;) In case someone is interested, Stefan is holding a peach, symbol of virtuous love.


I saw that Perez Hilton (:throwup:) tweet. Probably someone sent it to Ian. Or maybe PH used @iansomerhalder so it popped up on Ian's timeline. Who knows?

Yeah,I wouldn't doubt it. probably married either Christmas or right after TVD season ends. She gets pregnant before TVD finishes its run, that'll end that show. But, more importantly, if they don't keep it a secret, Ian getting hitched will end ISF. There are too many ppl (read that as teens/20s) that refuse to believe this will happen and once he's off the market (as though he isn't now) he'll lose his demographic to the next hot, pretty face. Lord knows that Hollywood produces pretty people as though they were cloning them. The only thing Ian had above 99% of them was the pet/environment thing.

I hope everyone's having great weather. It's been lovely in my neck of the woods. perfect weather. we went riding this morning, ice tea and shade this afternoon. Art walk tonight. Life is good.
