I purchased this from CeeJay's Collection ❤️

As @earswithfeet predicted, my Balenciaga plan has failed. Already. Today I received my purchases from CeeJay's pink collection. This I predict will be the last of my Balenciagas. Maybe. I certainly have plenty for the time being.

Here are the 2008 Pale Magenta, a 2005 Calcaire (a redyed bag at too good a price to pass up), and a 2009 Parme Mauve Mini-bag charm. I think the colors here are a bit brighter than the actual colors.

I loaded up the Pale Magenta to carry tomorrow and attached the mini charm. The colors are more accurate here.

And, finally, a group shot of 9 of CeeJay's Cities. By a total fluke, each bag has a different color letter, from A, Z, through R (no X of course) meaning I have all nine seasons represented here from S/S 2005 through S/S 2009.

Beginning at the top and moving down (left column are S/S, right column are F/W):

R - S/S 2009 Sanguine Red
S - F/W 2008 Black Cherry
T - S/S 2008 Pale Magenta (someone will have to explain this color to me, I can't find it as such on the color charts)
U - F/W 2007 Tomato Red
V - S/S 2007 Bleu Glacier
W - F/W 2006 Black
Y - S/S 2006 Origan
Z - F/W 2005 Calcaire
A - S/S 2005 Indigo Blue

I'm pleased with the assortment of summer and winter bag colors. I had a huge advantage over most of you in that I began with zero Balenciagas, and thus was starting from scratch with a premier collection available. I hope CeeJay's family knows that I will be using them, enjoying them, and thinking of her each time I pull one out. I continue to find and read her posts. Thank you everyone here on the forum for your knowledge and wise advice. Reading your posts is an ongoing education.
Since I started collecting back in 08 this color has been always known as “pale magenta”.

I've always thought it was "Pale Magenta" even on the chart. If you search on "2008 Pale Magenta" (use the quotes) posts from back then come up and call it that, so I'm not sure if we switched dimensions or I'm just getting old. Pale Magenta described the color in contrast to the brighter 2005 Magenta and the Limited Edition 2007 too. Then in the Fall 2008 Amethyst happened and it was more similar to the original 2005 Magenta. This particular Magenta a/k/a Pale Magenta bag does have some color fading due to the nature of aniline tanned goatskin. From all those bags you might have a paper card that mentions how the leather will change from light, etc. it's the booklet folded one. Enjoy your lovely BALENCIAGA collection!
Thank you so much for this, Corey. Given that you have probably forgotten more than I will be able to find, I bet those recent charts have changed the name. This would be especially true if the name Bubble Gum did not exist back in 2008. One frustrating problem with the old posts is that often the pictures no longer appear. I appreciate your contribution to my research, and I adore this pink bag as she is. We can fade out together here in our twilight years.

Edit-Thank you @LostInBal. If anyone can find a color chart from 2008 that shows pale magenta and not bubble gum, I think that would answer much of the question. I'll keep looking.

This post by @Suerta shows 2 08 bubblegum pinks, one more faded than the other. It's the pink day at the top, and the far left pink city under it.

Here's a 08 pale magenta to compare. I think yours is 08 pale magenta, especially looking the leather characteristics.

Thank you, Deco. I also found this 2008 Pale Magenta from @RightasRain before and after conditioning, and it looks like mine in the lower before photo, and like the 2008 Magenta swatch in the after photo.

Combining that with this photo from @Mendezhm of a 2005 Magenta, I understand why the 2008 was called Pale Magenta, even before any fading.

Thank you for the help, folks. I appreciate it.

Took me a while to organize my reds but here is my expanding red family! So honored to own a CJ-loved metallic red with a cute little charm I’ve never seen before. Along with obligatory puppy photo bomb.

Top down: 07 vermillion, 06 rouge vif and honey leather-traumatized sister next to her, CJs 05 metallic and 03 true red

Gorgeous reds that you have. I went to the Chat thread and read the story of your 06 Rouge Vif stained, washed, dried and honey leather treated bag. Fascinating, and I hope she ends up beautiful and usable. Love your CeeJay red metallic. Perfect addition for your collection.

I had a 08 pale magenta City RH a few years ago and yours is 100% pale magenta believe me. Quite faded I must say.

Insanely beautiful. I don’t know how you’d pick which to use for the day.

‘Tis gorgeous. I’m really fond of my Vermillion bag, though it may partially be for the very childish reason that ‘vermillion’ means “worm-colored”.

My Camel Bowler arrived today! LOVE the distressing and it makes me happy to know that Ceejay didn’t just baby this bag. You can tell she got good use of it.

Spruced it up and conditioned the leather. Will take pics the next time I come home and there’s still sunshine outside.

So happy it's found a home that will use the bag as Ceejay would have. Looking forward to the pics.
