I can't belive what ebay did to me!

I think this is for the better in some ways. The resellers have had to prove themselves at some point. And its hard to police the random sellers like us who want to list just a bag from our closets we no longer like. The problem is-- While we are going to list authentic items.... other people may not. So, Its like opening a door or shutting a door. No inbetween. I think this is for the best really. Hopefully this will let them crackdown on all the fakes and reopen the door for us slowly.

I still think that having a very positive track record should mean something and I still think it's incredible the way they can't handel this problem.

I'm very sorry for you costa! This is the reason I haven't listed anything on ebay. I'm sure it is not going to work, even though I have very good feedback as a buyer.

I'm so sorry costa that you have had to go through this. eBay was limiting my listings - making me wait 30 days to relist an item, etc. I finally gave up and just decided that I would rather keep the stuff than be treated like I was some sort of criminal.

Meanwhile, sellers who I know are buying from questionable sources are allowed to list away like crazy simply because they have been doing it all along. eBay really has changed for the worse. I hardly buy anything on there anymore because they have run off all the people who were simply just doing some closet cleaning and who had some interesting and unique items. The choice of items on eBay has declined because of all the ridiculousness that eBay has imposed on sellers as of late.

Once again, I am so sorry that you have had to experience this.

^ Paris can put a smile on anyone's face! (And the reason I can vouch for that is that We've just booked our hotel for a stopover on the way to our summer holiday:yahoo: and have been enjoying aerial shots of that fabulous city.

But a real shame that I'm unable to join with the international meetup next week - Ladies have a wonderful time:party:

And Miss Costa - say hello to the Mothership for me (and all the other envious tpfers) and cheer yourself up with something wonderful! And put the Evilbay out of your mind!

costa ebay has done the same to me! :cursing: I have 100% positive feedback selling LV & H, and they suddenly this summer refused to allow me to list more than 1 item per 30 days (and while they didn't specify, they said the restriction only applies to "certain" brands).

I tried every which way to have the restrictions lifted and pointed them to my feedback and got the series of copied & pasted responses.

Now get this...when a listing was accepted, I noticed that I misspelled Birkin after the listing was up...AND THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO EDIT THE TYPO!!! Their genius computer system recognized it as a new listing!

I hate to say it, but I hope ebay suffers an even greater loss of sales due to their inept way of handling their OWN ineptness which lead to the lawsuits in the first place!

And now I hobble along trying to start my business on a shoestring as I look at so so many orange boxs containing beautiful things that don't see the light of day (as I was hoping to sell them to raise the start up capital)....

Have you sincetried to relist your H items?

:cursing::cursing: eBay are only letting me list 2 designer items a month.
I have also tried and tried to get restrictions lifted, but they keep saying apply in 90 days. I have 100% feedback too.
I keep asking them why, and pointing out the fact, that I can go on eBay, and find a fake Hermes in less than a minute, but they dont really care, and why can these sellers be allowed to keep listing fakes, but they really dont listen.
eBay in my opinion, is actually allowing the long term fakesters to carrying on listing their fake bags, and the genuine customers are getting stung.

What bugs me about all of this is that people can artificially inflate their sales revenue by selling small items first to gain feedbacks and sales, whereas lots of legitimate infrequent sellers will not do this, and realistically, the sort of people who are going to be parting with gently used Hermes items probably do not bother to sell half-empty bottles of perfume and or old books for $5. I have one never-used H item I would seriously consider selling if this whole Ebay thing weren't more trouble than it's worth. I'm sorry to hear about all of this, Costa.

Costa, I've been selling on eBay for approximately 8 years now and I've encountered numerous problems with eBay and Paypal. I still think eBay's a great marketplace to a certain degree but over the past few years, they've been getting more and more ridiculous with all these strange rules and regulations. I don't think it's the other sellers that have reported you. They must have a program that checks keywords, feedback records, Paypal accounts (whether it's linked to your eBay a/c or verified etc) and will shut down any auction listings that does not meet their ALL requirements.

DiamondS, if you want to sell your crinoline you don't need to put it on @bay:graucho:

Ranag, you are right, I think @bay really lost a lot of high level sellers.

Rose, I will go and look at that site, thanks.

LailaT and Roo, I'm not sure I can make it this week to Paris:p

luv2shophandbag, Raz, Anez I agree with all you say.

Birkingal Yes, it's probably a matter of computer and words, but I think they will lose all the high end seller of designer items.

Probably they don't want problems with all the story of fakes or so. But they deserve to lose a lot of revenues.
