I can't belive what ebay did to me!

Stressful! I have a bunch of H things I was thinking of selling on Ebay because I've been trying to streamline my collection. I've sold other designer bags online (such as BV, Chanel, and Marc Jacobs), so maybe they'll let my listings stay live.

Ebay was initiated as a place similar to a yard sale, where everyone could sell or exchange some item no more used in a household. I bought some books and small stuff there but never sold anything. However I kept in mind that one day I might want to sell my scarf collection, those unused ones. Reading the above posts makes me highly pessimistic on a subject.
Is there any other source to sell personal staff for individuals, not shops or professional resellers?

Hi Costa, I could relate to your frustration. Ebay policies are inadequate and offer no protection whatsoever for sellers from false reports or identity theft. I have my account suspended because everytime I listed an item to sell, somebody reported it to Ebay as fraudulent listing. I'm sorry it happens to you too. And ironically, there are many scammers out there listing fake items, yet nothing happens to them.
OMG!! It happend to you too:wtf:
So this is how rival seller with high prices are doing to keep their auctions on ebay!!!
Ebay should do something about it!!

So sorry this happened to you too.

Actually this means you cannot sell at reasonable prices on ebay:wtf:

I would love to know that too..

I think the newspapers should write that on ebay there's a trust of high price resellers that, with the help of ebay, pull normal prices sellers out of auctions.
What do you think?

I have asked... Portero takes a 30% commission, if I remember correctly. Pretty steep... LZ is just not an option for me since I have to ship the bags overseas. eBay can be a good place to sell except that there are a lot of competition and scammers that its harder for regular collectors who just want to trim their collection.

I have used other resellers to sell/consign my items. They do sell quickly and at much higher prices.

costa, I'm sorry that this happened to you.

How about selling your Birkins to a consignment
shop? There are many online, and I've been trying to find
my grail scarf that way. I know they won't pay you
even close to what they'll sell it for, but it's just
a thought.

Or you can sell to one of the many resellers such
as luxwear, luxury-shops, etc.

Good luck to you. :)

I believe someone, perhaps a competing ebayer, reported your bag as a fake. Ebay does not have any expertise in these matters and probably just removed the listing as a precaution. Ebay has been sued recently both in the US and in France for copyright violations and I am sure they are in a panic to avoid fakes.

Maybe you can just relist it?
