I can't belive what ebay did to me!

The last pages in Town & Country magazine have advertisements of consignment stores looking for Hermes bags to sell.
It may be worth a try? They must have to pay a fair bit to advertise in this magazine?
You could also check out the back pages in the New York magazine?

OMG!! It happend to you too:wtf:
So this is how rival seller with high prices are doing to keep their auctions on ebay!!!
Ebay should do something about it!!

So sorry this happened to you too.

Actually this means you cannot sell at reasonable prices on ebay:wtf:

Costa, yes they did! And no matter how many times I've contacted them, Ebay refuses to investigate any of my cases. They just kept on sending me automated responses as a reply. :nogood:

I believe someone, perhaps a competing ebayer, reported your bag as a fake. Ebay does not have any expertise in these matters and probably just removed the listing as a precaution. Ebay has been sued recently both in the US and in France for copyright violations and I am sure they are in a panic to avoid fakes.

Maybe you can just relist it?

Unfortunately not.Thay say thay will suspend my account if I do so:tdown:

Costa - I think Castorny is correct - After having to pay LVMH $63M and suffering a significant drop in their stock, (and losing the Hermes case too), I am pretty sure ebay is ultra ultra cautious when it comes to H and LV sales. I am not saying they are right, or fair! However, since you never sold anything on ebay before listing the H bags, coming right out of the box as a brand new seller with the very items that put ebay under such scrutiny, might make them very sensitive to any complaint they may have received about you or your items. They may not have even received a complaint - the litigation has likely made them go too far in the other direction. I hope they find a happy medium soon!!

If you still want to sell the H bags on ebay, I would suggest selling other items first. If, as a seller, you gain the same stellar reputation you have as a buyer, then, I would think, they will let you sell anything you want.

costa, sorry that this happened. This might not be much comfort, but at least ebay let you list it first before pulling it. I just tried to list my preowned LV and I couldn't even list it! I have 100% positive feedback and I've sold high ticket items before. This is just insane. Anyone know what's going on with ebay? Or is it because it's a LV listing and they're particularly sensitive to that?

Hi Costa,

So sorry to hear about the problem with ebay. I have a bad experience with them too. Up until a few days ago, my ebay account was also limited for no reason. I could not list my designer bags at all. I can not use the word "Hermes" "Chanel" "Louis Vuitton" and so on and it was so frustrating. I wrote to them twice asking them to lift the limitation and they answered saying they are protecting buyer experience and so put limits on some accounts, they also mentioned something about my location being in Asia. I have explained that I have sold a number of designer items before and have a 100% positive feedback but it was no use. They asked me too keep selling other things and told me I can request again (for the limit to be lifted in 30 days time) but it will still up to them to decide each time....

It sucks big time. Here we have authentic items to sell but we can't and yet so many many fraud users out there are out to scam people with their fake goodies... =(

Hi there - I have had the same experience recently trying to sell a pair of H sandals. They did not sell the first auction and I tried to relist them and I was told they cant be re-listed for 30 days. I wrote them asking why....got some standard answer. (I had only sold 2 things before hand on Ebay- that might be a factor)

So the other item I had listed, a Prada bag, someone bought on "Buy It Now", they start a fund transfer to me, then all of a sudden, the transfer is cancelled, I write the buyer saying please elaborate and if I dont hear from you, I will contact ebay, buyer writes back, saying they were buying this for their mother and she died yesterday. Then I get a note from ebay 3 days later that there was unauthorized account usage on the buyers end and our transaction was not valid.

Anyone else have this happen ?

I had to actually write to them to have listing restrictions removed, but thankfully I can now list unlimited Hermes items. Oy. such a pain. I feel for you Costa.

Than's interesting. How did you write them?

I try and try but they answer always with a pre-written letter. So I got the live help I wrote to the link the lady on live help gave .. me and now they wrote me I have restrictions for 90 days.

Now, if I am such a bad person, whay I can buy? I would assume I use fake money to pay too.... right?

many many honest sellers with hundreds of 100% positive feedback have been affected by the lvmh lawsuit and ebay's listing restrictions -- check out the ebay forum if you want someone to commiserate with. one thing i realized (i have been restricted too) is that it's not merely an attempt to restrict the selling of fakes but to restrict the reselling of designer goods period. lvmh wants a monopoly on the sale of its items. so while ebay might be doing a bad job in dealing with the crisis, it is really lvmh that is motivating this.
