I Can't Believe This More Mismatched Hardware

Can anyone please explain why the gold locks on speedy are so crummy and the gold locks on alma and other more expensive bags are so nice and shiny, and don't loose their luster?

I have a speedy b mono and a Neverfull mm mono. I personally like the mismatched! I like to wear mismatched jewelry, maybe that's why I like that LV does this!

I guess I'm in the minority. I don't mind when the hardware doesn't match 100%. I only dislike it if the mismatch is on a center focus (that poor pochette Metis). And, I like the way that the lock ages. I think it adds a little character.

Seems normal, not defective. I have the same neo NF pochette and it looks identical. In fact my older LVs also look this way.

Brass is not shiny gold. ALL LV HARDWARE IS PLATED and has been for decades.

I beg to differ. I have solid brass fixtures in my home and I have them polished about once a month. They become quite shiny when polished.

I called LV and they checked a store, it seems all of the neverfuls are made with the mismatched hardware. I would rather have hardware that matches, but I guess I will keep it. Since they are all made that way, there is no other choice if I want a neo neverful at this time.

You have to polish it like I said... Try using ketchup!!! It'll make it 10000% better... I promise

Does anyone know what year LV changed from brass hardware to the brass plated hardware?

My speedy b 30 from 2011 has mismatched hardware and I am furious about it . Had I noticed I would never of bought it . You don't pay $1000 for a bag with mismatched hardware, that you can find in Walmart. My empriente speedy does not have this problem or my older epi leather speedys look great (17 years or so old). LV quality is just not what it used to be unless you buy the premium bags?! I don't know why they would produce bags with mismatched hardware, it looks tacky and cheap, but people keep buying. I've learned my lesson.

Yes, sadly as long as people keep buying them despite the tacky hardware then they'll keep making them this way.
