Okay I am here again and I do not plan on straying this time. I have purchased WAY too many bags this year (seven to be exact not including the Charm's and SLG's). I need to sit down some where and just take a bag break!

Good luck on your 3 month ban, the house and the bet with your mom.

My mom just bet with me for two hundred dollars that I cannot endure till next year Dec. Anyone else also gotten into this kind of situation? Letting others around us holding us accountable and helping us with the ban?

Hey, great idea! As no one will bet against me when it comes to holding out :p I bet with myself 1K that I will NOT buy any bags, SLGs or bags accessories (charms, bandeaux, etc) until my novel is published, whenever that is (I guess a year, or more?). If I lose, I'll undergo a one year ban. If I win, then that 1K will go towards anything within that budget on my wishlist, even if it means preloved!

What a fantastic ban goal!

and... if you're willing to share... I'd love to hear how your novel is coming along, too... :smile1:

Ok I have to jump on here because I think I'm in the realm of purseaholic. I just purged 2 or 3 bags last month, and it felt good. But I still have too many, and I bought 2 this week :cry: But, I can say that I hadn't bought a bag for quite a while and I am celebrating my graduating college this month.:woohoo: So I think after this little binge I will hold off till my birthday in a few months, meanwhile enjoy what I have and look at getting rid of a few.

My ban didn't last longer than 2 weeks, I feel so bad.....I need moral support~!

Happiness is not about how much you have, but how little you need.

Is it a bag you love? Or a limited edition? Was it a screaming deal you couldn't pass up because it won't come your way again? Can you still pay your bills and not stress about what you spent on your recent bag? Resolve is a wonderful thing, but is much easier to keep if you have a set of guidelines to adhere to.
:D

Joining you all on your bans! Months ago, I did some major down-sizing and got rid of all the bags I had not used in the past year. I am now down to four high end designer bags. My last bag purchase was a bag I had wanted for a couple years now (Chanel boy bag), and I finally pulled the trigger a couple months ago. I am now content with my collection, and am banning myself for at least 6 months. :smile1:

With that being said, I am not banning myself from a small accessory here and there. ;)
