I welcome myself to the handbag ban island... My last purchased was 2 weeks ago... I have 7 designer handbags, 6 contemporary designer bags, 2 wallets and 2 zippy coin purse... I'm always obsessed with designer ballet flats as well... so all and all... I decided not to buy anything designer for a year (set a very reasonable goal)... hope to save for a year just for the sake of saving not to buy anything else...

Ban till August!! Meanwhile I hope I dont make small expensive purchase in order to save up for bigger amount! Going to Japan next month and hope my hands and legs will be tied to prevent unnecessary shopping!

I'm banning myself from here on out. I've collected various types of bags for different occasions, so I know I'm set. Almost all of my bags are black, too, so they'll go with everything. I'm truly satisfied with my collection now. No more bags! This doesn't mean I'm going to stop enjoying and loving the aesthetics of hand bags. But I've learned over the years to know my limits and know what kinds of bags I'll actually carry and need (vs. getting bags that look pretty but don't fit my lifestyle). And this means that I must stop buying bags for a long stretch of time once I have everything I need.

Hang in there! Word of advice - avoid enabling threads! (Note, most "shop my closet" threads are enabling threads, too.) Of course... if you decide not to resist - then you're not alone. This is tpf after all. :whistle:

Can i join here too? I am offically being ban on purchasing pretty bags :( actually i thou of buying a bn pretty bags in boutique when i visit hk in may.. guess i jus got myself a deal tt i have to ban myself from those pretty bags however i will wana buy my stepmum a gift (pretty bags) when i going over there as a mother gift.. is too dumb not to buy any pretty bags... haha
