I'm not a VIP at VCA to know all the secrets of inventory, but I can share at Chanel, they definitely have a process like that. At select stores (Chanel Beverly Hills is one of them), Chanel has the right to keep an item for 14 days and not ship it out. This is to allow their BH clients first rights to purchase. This means even if a SA sees it in inventory, BH does not have to ship it. I know this because I really wanted an item, and it was at BH. My SA tried to get it but no go. He happened to know the manager at BH and called, and it was finally released as a favor (whatever that means). I did not ask nor did I really wanted to know all the drama, but nevertheless, that's how I found out about the system. That was a couple years ago, so I'm not sure about now, especially since COVID with the new process. For sure though, there is a process to support their regular clients and certainly the VCA VIPs. Even on orders of out of stock items, my VCA SA told me the VIPs get stuff first, then the paid orders, then the "please find one for me" requests. I asked because I wanted to know how long earrings would take which then he told me the order of deliveries. I think it makes sense. If I am a VCA VIP (which I am not) and I am spending $500K-$1M+ a year, I would sure hope I get some priority.

Yes, though I am also just a regular customer, I am given first pass at items coming into the boutique I shop at before it is offered externally, with the understands that often another boutique has asked for the item if I pass on it. Presumably the other customers are given this opportunity, so it may be best to shop at a larger boutique in order to have the most options. I also know that when I used to shop at my local NM, which has subsequently closed, they would primary source their items from a NYC boutique and I would need to wait to see if a client of that boutique wanted the item or not before it could be transferred to my store. For boutique to boutique transfer, the SA needs to put in a request and then see if it is agreed to or not. It is not just an online inventory of all pieces available which they can select from and bring in at will. That is why this thread is such a nice idea!

London Jewelers is opening a Rolex boutique in Short Hills. It will be across from VCA. They are assuming the AD role from Sydney Thomas.
Wow thank you for this info. So informative, it was inferred that they were taking over the Sidney Thomas location. So good to know! Any idea when this will take place?

Hi. Is that 10 motif YG?

Yes. It’s owned by London Jewelers. It’s interesting because when they’ve had pieces transferred for me, they often come from Beverly Hills. I’m wondering if certain boutiques have a relationship in terms of sharing and transferring pieces.

And love your lion clip and how you style him! Thank you for the helpful hints in your earlier posts.
I had no idea. The VCA closest to me (Manhasset) is owned by London, but it's a section of the London boutique; they have a Bulgari as well. I didn't realize that London has other VCA locations.

I thought this would be a good thread to post this info...
VCA at Highland Park in Dallas is targeted to open the week of Sep 20. Brand new two-story boutique.
Pictures please for anyone that goes!

That new boutique for sure will be so stocked up with pieces they do not have to ship out... for local purchase only!

I think if you have a fairly good relationship with your SA it would help. At VCA I have generally been lucky that my SA would find me all the pieces I want, or would hold something for me as I think it over (reasonable period of time). I think VCA (at least the boutique where I shop at) is pretty discrete about their “priority” or “hold” policies.

Whereas at Cartier it’s quite clear how they manage this — I am not a big Cartier client at all but am familiar with a SA there as I visit the shop with my friend who buys regularly. There, if you are a repeat client, they will hold on to requested pieces until you can visit the shop. If not, even if you ask them to “hold” an item they will sell it to the next client that comes in ready to pay. I realised this when I went in to see the thin diamond JUC. They only had one in the shop and it was “on hold”, but when I expressed that I want to buy it immediately, they sold to me on the spot (guess the other customer was not a “regular”). In contrast, when my friend asked them to hold on to a WG rainbow Love, they did so even though there was a customer at another location that wanted it (only one piece in the country).

I think the perlee is you too. The single row goes better with your signature perlee.
@EpiFanatic I agree with @lynne_ross and think it looks really nice on you. Can I ask what makes you feel it isn't for you? From this angle, I think it would be really nice with the signature and single row. Would you consider it as a piece to get later down the road or are you completely crossing it off the list? I believe you have the wg Ecrou , which I imagine would look very nice with the one row. However, if you plan to stack them and had to choose between the clover or one row, I would say the one row is better suited to the aesthetic of the other two bangles signature and Ecrou. I, too, think the single row is very pretty so there is now doubt it should remain on your list :)

Today at SF NM:
I have been eyeing the single row perlee bangle for forever. I decided no and then yes…
First time I tried the clover bangle in an XS, and it’s stunning, but not me. The single row, unfortunately, still is.

The single row looks stunning with your Perlee. It makes the set look nice and blingy. Yet the look is still crisp.

The clover with your Perlee changes the look. The clover is thicker with more metal, so now your set looks like two metal bangles with a little splash of diamond. The blingy diamond effect is now lost.

I vote single row with your bangle. It looks beautiful on your wrist.

I have the single row ring, wear it almost daily, and would love to get the single row bangle. It looked better on me than the clover bangle. Have a hard justifying the price.
