Wow, this is crazy...hate to think that i live in area that is suppose to be the wealthiest in georgia, only to think that the bag im getting from a cosignor could be fake..did all my reseach befofe purchasing but it is buyer beware...and they are suppose to re a very reputable dealer with high end merchandise that people have trusted to buy from them for years.

Does anyone know the criminal repercussions of PURCHASING fakes? It is an illegal activity and I assume that the charges would be similar to buying stolen property but I've never really heard about people reporting buyers. Obviously, it is not as lucrative to go after small buyers, but I think this should still be a concern!

I hope I'm not the only person concerned about this :shrugs: It just makes me sooo mad when people brag about buying fake products-it's ILLEGAL!!! You can watch videos on youtube about women bragging about their fake items and I just don't understand how someone could support such a violent activity just to make people think that they purchased a designer item

P.s. I searched for a thread on the topic of reporting buyers but couldn't find one. Please move me if this is in the wrong spot and sorry!!!

people brag about buying fake? those people must be thick!
Fakes are NEVER in fashion. And yes, it is criminal.

Kiwivn: Sorry about the delay, but yes, some women BRAG about carrying fakes! I was just as shocked as you are! :nono: I was looking up Trevi PM reviews on youtube to hear about how much will fit into the bag because I am really wanting to purchase it, and I was watching a video where a woman was going on and on about carrying counterfeit bags. She was saying how it's soooo stupid to spend that much money on a purse when someone can easily get the "same" bag for $50. Then, she had the audacity to complain that the only problem with buying knockoffs is that the bags are not made with quality material. :noggin: Duhhh of course they're not great quality...what do you expect when you buy a bag made by a 6 year old slave???

I was so annoyed I tried to report her to Youtube but in order to report someone for counterfeit items, you actually have to write in a letter with the accusation and what evidence you have, etc... It seems like youtube doesn't care AT ALL that people are encouraging and supporting illegal activity on their website. That's why I wondered how to report people who purchase fakes because IMO, these individuals are the reason for this horrible, evil business

It can be much harder to report someone selling fake goods online, however if you know of a brick and mortar shop/boutique that is, you may report it to local law enforcement.

If you would like to attempt to report an online store that is selling fakes, one way to do so is to obtain their server information, and report it to the web host, who may then refuse to continue hosting their website.
