About the process...it was like this:

- Got a call about coming in and filling out a background check.
- Got another call for a brief meet and greet with another manager (it was more relaxed than an interview, but I still treated it like one).
- Got a call saying that they'll have a decision for me soon.
- Then I got a call with my job offer!

Two days later, I was working! It's a long process, so you really have to WANT the job. You just have to understand that there are a TON of people who want this job, so patience is key. If I didn't answer any questions, let me know!

this "years of experience from luxury retail essential" thing...is sad

im sure we (or those who have no luxury retail experience) can serve much much much better than those bi-chy SAs in every boutique world wide..............................says on LVMH site how they are 'trained' etc

trained to be a bi-tch or what?

experience is too overrated.....................................!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:( lollllllllll

I just wanted to add to what I said before about not getting charged tax if shipping outside of Illinois. Well apparently, we're the only saks that does this and the only Vuitton that does this! Just thought I'd let everyone know!!

This is awesome news! I will most certainly PM you when I'm ready to purchase something again. I miss ELux so much because of the tax free purchases. Just out of curiosity, how many interviews did you have to go through and are they really strict about having high end retail experience? TIA! Congratulations on your new exciting job!

Edit: Ok, just went back and saw where you answered some of this already but did they require you to have high end retail experience?

i was wondering how would i order from your store if i am from california.. will i do an on the phone order and they take down my cc. I wanted to buy the wilshire blvd in blue nuit and since if its tax free and i only have to pay for shipping that will help alot.. sorry have another question will they give me a gift bag to since it is a present... thanks so much.. sorry for the long question. :D

I just PMed you and forgot to address your original question! So sorry!

As far as high end retail experience, they do take it pretty seriously. I have yet to meet an SA that didn't have some sort of high end retail background, BUT it's not written in concrete, so I think you should always try. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask!
