My first day was awesome! I can't wait to go back to work! Everyone I work with is sooo nice, especially my manager! I feel like I fit right in! I'm sure I'm just super excited because it's my first day, but I really did enjoy myself.
That's awesome - I actually work very close to there (I'm a block away from Northwestern hospital, at the Time Life Building)! Congrats!

I'm applying to work at LV right now too..
I was working at Nordy's (i'm a SA) and was helping a woman pick out some clothes. I commented on her LV bag, a Galliera, and told her how much I love it bc I had just bought one days earlier. She proceeded to tell me she works for the LV website.
I gushed and told her I'm on that website everyday! She said "I'm actually hireing right now, why don't you give me a call?" and gave me her business card!!!
I called her, she didn't call me back until 3 weeks later, but asked me to email her my resume.
So I called her back and left a message asking for her email address.. she didnt leave it.. that was yesterday and she hasnt called me back yet
I'm crossing my fingers!

Did you apply at Saks HR or did you walk up directly to LV in Saks?
Did you ask to speak to the LV manager when you went there? Did you already have an appt? Or did you just walk in?

I actually just walked right in, asked for the manager, introduced myself, and handed her my resume. I didn't care to ask if they were hiring or anything because I didn't want to be discouraged. If you have any more questions, let me know!

I know you're dying to ask questions, and I wish I can answer them better. If they have to do with me and not the company, I would be happy to answer them! I just can't talk about policies and stuff.
So are you applying to work in the store or online? I'm surprised her email address wasn't on her card, they usually are. My best advice is to be patient. I almost lost hope on getting this job, and out of nowhere I got the call saying I was hired! I wanted to faint! You have a job now, so it's good that you're not currently job hunting. If she doesn't call you back with her email address, I would wait another week or two and then call her back and tell her you're still interested. Everyone is really busy, so just hang in there! If you have any other questions let me know and I'll answer them as best I can!
Big Congrats to you. I hope you will love it. I worked for LV for 5 years and really enjoyed it, no complaints. Enjoy building your LV collection, that is the best part. Your coming up on the busy holiday season which can be crazy hectic but also fun. And how cool that you are working in Chicago, love that city. Best Wishes
