How To work for Louis Vuitton...

I have actually looked into this, you need 2-5 years of experience in the retail business to even be considered, the pay is $11-15 based on experience, and you don't get commission, but you do get bonuses if you go over your quota....right now they are hiring in New York, Calie, Texas, and apparently there is a new Louis Vuitton going in someplace in Mass. called Natick, this can all be found at LVMH.COM

Good luck;)
They are building a huge mall in Natick Ma. Actually its an extension of a mall that is alreay there. Natick is a suburb outsie of Boston. Lovely area. I grew up in that area.

If would definately be like a dream job to be looking at these precious bags everyday ... And you get to give the costumer the best LV experience ever instead of some of these horrorstories you hear off.

Go for it ;)

Would 1 or 2 years experience as a SA at a Coach Factory store be enough to qualify for a job as a Louis Vuitton SA? Would it even help my chances? Thanks for any answers! ;)

i have actually asked one of the sa's about the requirements... she said you should have experience in high end retail. i guess if you've been with coach for a couple of years, then that is definitely a plus :smile1:

I think they were being sarcastic. I actually had a friend who worked for LV over the winter holiday, and to my knowledge, she doesn't have high end retail experience at all - but perhaps, she knew the manager well. [shrugs]

Hi there-

I am majoring in Fashion Marketing, and would love to continue my career in account executive team. So thought that SA could be a good start on resume- Just wonder if anybody have any experience as a SA at Vuitton. And would love to hear about the story!

If my thread is off the topic, sorry :crybaby: Didn't know where to post! Anyways Ladies have a wonderful friday!

Not me, but my best friend. She worked there for over 6 years. If you want to work there for a discount, then don't. If you buy and sell bags, then you don't want to work for them. There are MANY rules and regulations that you have to follow. Selling a bag and getting caught could result, and most likely, will result in termination.

I have a friend (who I met as my SA but is now more of a friend) who started working at LV as an SA at age 19, and now 16 years later is the assistant Store Director at one of LV's top 3 boutiques. So I say go for it......use it a a starting point - "The Only Way Is Up!"

Doesn't LV give a good discount? I've heard it' 40%, unless I am wrong, that's pretty nice, imo.
