Working at LV sounds like a job that people would really love, based on their love of LV.

But when I think about all the dealing with irate customers, being perky and polite when you aren't feeling well, standing on your feet all the time and everything else that comes with working in retail /customer service? I woldn't like the job.

So if I worked at Louis Vuitton I would probably be...very cranky!

If I worked at LV- I think I would eventually get 'tired' of looking at all the bags. I know it sounds impossible-but I have a feeling I would not like it very much. Especially dealing with customers- I would not make it in retail!

Retail experience is always a plus for retail
And yes i think your resume would stand out among the others.
If you are a LV enthusiast, just make sure you mention you know alot about the bags BUT there is always much more to learn.

Good Luck.

I have actually looked into this, you need 2-5 years of experience in the retail business to even be considered, the pay is $11-15 based on experience, and you don't get commission, but you do get bonuses if you go over your quota....right now they are hiring in New York, Calie, Texas, and apparently there is a new Louis Vuitton going in someplace in Mass. called Natick, this can all be found at LVMH.COM

Good luck;)

My feeling that working in luxury goods could only be a plus & I think Coach would move you ahead of say, Target (not that anything is wrong with Target- I LOVE Target) so give it a try & GOOD LUCK! Let us know how it goes!
