i'm in the same boat with you...and my bf has a thing for stilettos lol! he hates when i wear sneakers and flats. the front part is what kills me...mytoes and the ball of my feet. i really wish i could master them.

I have been wearing heels for so long that it is just second nature to me now. I don't know if there is any real secret other than to just practice until you get it. And I do believe that some people just have trouble wearing heels; my mom is one of those people.

I can handle up to 4/4.5 inches comfortably but anything higher I need to pass. That's some CL's are a pass for me - heels simply too high!

I've always been a heel person, but I also used to have pain in the ball of my foot when I would wear them until I started my first professional job and began wearing them everyday to work. The pain subsided, and I can hardly walk in anything but heels now!! Seriously - sometimes I'll wear ballet flats and it's literally like I don't know how to walk, I almost look like I'm prancing!!!

I'm good with heels up to 3-3.5" but anything higher and I have to take baby steps and I start feeling "tippy". I think part of it is that I have kind of small feet for my height/frame... When I wear 4"+ heels, it throws my balance way off! :shrugs:

Although, I've noticed that some heels are better than others. I can walk in Oh Deers. They're not very comfortable, but I can walk in them...

anything up to 3 inches is very easy and pain free for me, and I'm usually a sneaker/flats type of girl. Anything above that, and I start wobbling and walking all funny. I really do think it's all practice.

4" plus are too high for me. Different brands are better too. For example, I find Manolos the best heels for me. Maybe you should keep trying different brands?

OMG! The Oh Deer Dorothy shoe has me literally weak in the knees if I walk long distances in them. However, I got a pair of Luichiny Sparkle and they felt like heaven.

It's best to just practice walking in them. I was not a heels person, but I started off in high wedges.

I agree. I would try out different brands and see what works best for you. It has taken me a long time to find out what's comfortable for me and what isn't, but now I know what works for me.

It is something that you get used to, from daily wear. Also, try to stick to heels less than 3 inches until you become used to wearing them. I know that super high heels look great, but anything higher than 4-4.5" aren't the best option for everyday wear. They're the type of heels that you wear from the car to the restaurant and from the restaurant to the car and home :p

ha so true ! and even there I might face disasters too !
I can on trying brands, but when trying them in the shop I just think they´re fine...and they´re not in real life situation....any brands you find more comfortable ?

Like lulilu, I'm a Manolo fan. I can wear Manolos out for the first time and not experience any pain or discomfort whatsoever. I also love Coach shoes. I find them extremely comfortable, with very walkable heel heights

I would LOVE to wear heels. But they hurt the balls of my feet! :crybaby:And my little fat wide feet can't handle anything that isn't wide width!! I can so sympathize with this thread! The only shoes I can comfortably wear are my coach boots and my wedges!

Any suggestions for use high heel hurters would be great!! Any brand of shoes that you'd recommend? Keep in mind, I have Champagne taste on a Navy budget.

I had the same problem before. My mom always wears heels, she has only ONE pair of sneakers and ONE pair of flats and like 1543156 pairs of heels. I always wondered how she was able to walk so freely in them, I guess practice. But she said you have to find the right ones for you feet, you dont need to sacrifice comfort in order to look good, is not good for you actually, she said if you feel sexy (comfortable) you'll look sexy, needless to say her heels are all from the same designer (Mexican) and she owns a few MK.

Keep looking for the right pair and practice, practice, practice.

Me too!!
Last days I was thinking about opening a thread to ask "how can I learn to walk with high or medium heels??" because it seems like they are not for me! :(
I tried a pair of wedges and a pair of medium heels probably in the second case the main problem is the quality of the shoes. I didn't want to pay 200 euro for a pair of shoes I wear only twice so I tried a cheap pair but one day I'll get a pair of expensive high shoes and we'll see!

I am fine in heels up to 3.5", but after that it is hard for me to get any sort of natural walk down. I usually only wear shoes with a platform to go higher than 3.5" although I do have one pair of 4" heels that are just gorgeous. But I have been wearing them around the house until I get used to them because even the sexiest shoes aren't sexy if a person looks like an idiot trying to walk in them!
