This might sound kinda weird but take a couple ballet lessons!!!!

All that going up on your tippy toes and walking around on your tippy toes and etc. it helps you get used to that high heel position!

I took ballet for about 3 or 4 years and I learned absolutely nothing from it BUT when I started wearing high heels it was really easy for me to walk around in them!!

The Key to wearing heels,
Practise Practise Practise!
Yeah I too had trouble wearing heels at first. But I wore them around the house a LOT!
Even when you are cleaning the house/going to the grocery store, wear them then.
Haha I remember my neighbour said to me once that I looked very tall wearing when I was tidying the house.
This was when I lived back home in the US, and I was like 'yeah i know its the swifer makes me look tall '
Do a Jessica Simpson, (The Rolling Stones cover) she wore high heels while cleaning.
Just wear them around the house a lot, that will get you used to them.

I find that in the beginning, especially with the higher heels, it helps to walk putting all of your balance on the ball of your foot for a while even though it hurts. That stops you from falling because it's usually when you try to balance on your heel that you fall. Once you get used to that, then add more weight to your heel. The key is to distribute your weight evenly between the ball of your foot and your heel to prevent falling/wobbling. Good posture is also a must.

An exercise you can try is to do squats in your heels. I find that it really helps me get used to balancing in the really high platforms that can twist an ankle. Good luck!!

I agree with everyone else that it takes PRACTICE! I used to teeter in 1 1/2 inch heels, but now I've been wearing 3-inch heels without any problems walking. Wear them around the house and you'll get used to it. Although I love my summer flip flops, they feel so FLAT when I wear them!

I'm 5'8 so usually stick to 4" tops. I rather have 3". I wore heels yesterday for the first time as all winter I was nursing a broken foot. It felt soo good to finally be back in heels. At first it felt weird, I felt like a giant but got used to it fast.

Because of the arthritis in my hip, I need to stick to 2" or less and 3" for special occasions if I'm not going to be on my feet very long. I'm still a bit awkward in most 3" heels.

I had posted a pic when I first got them. Not sure what they are called though. Open toe beige suede pumps w/rafia throughout. I got a lot of compliments on them, I was kind of surprised but happy
