How to organize your closet and handbags

I took all my boxes out from my closet, hoping to air them. Now they are all stacked at one of my bedside tables. And the smaller ones at one corner of a shelf. The bedroom does look kinda 'disorganised' for a while.

I used to treasure the boxes my bags came in when I purchased them but they're just taking up too much space in my closet that it's really impossible to hang on to most of them. I've kept the ones that can function as storage boxes.

glamourdoll - i love your pink wall!! Makes me home sick! my bedroom at home was almost the exact same pink! i dont think my partner would be too impressed now if i painted our bedroom pink! i love you have your handbags displayed!

how do you get your bags to stand? i have a few bags that no matter what i do will not stand and they just end up flopping on the shelf and that just means other bags stack on top of them =(

I had my old wardrobe closet stacked with my precious bags, some LVs and gucci, but when my first born came, I just had to sell them away & stock 2-4 bags at a time & after carrying them 3-4 times, i sell them away. Now my son rummage through my purse, & before it gets messy & stained & depreciates it's value, i sell them to give way for more. I have a closet full of space at the moment & is about to do some refills..

OP you can take pictures of your bags, print them out and paste them on your boxes so you know where is what. I did that with my shoes. Saves a lot of time.

Just a tidbit from one of my SAs... for long term storage, it's recommended that bags be stored stuffed in their dust bags, and out of their boxes... although the way you describe your "jigsaw puzzle" made me wonder if you nest empty boxes to reduce the space needed for storing them. I think that's a fabulous idea; I'm definitely going to do that! :smile1:

If you have cloth dust bags for your more expensive bags, they will protect the leathers better than having leathers touch...I don't see any patent leather which would be the most at-danger of getting ruined.

Also, depending on where you live, you have to be careful about humidity causing mold growth on leather.

For Chanel flaps, where the flap pockets are tightly touching adjacent leathers...some people insert a non-acidic? soft fabric piece so they don't stick together which has been known to happen to some bags.
