Oh my, well, like someone else suggested, pictures on boxes will help you ID your bags. Keeping them in their dustbags will probably give you more room, but I understand not wanting to get rid of boxes. One of my sons lived in a LV box and bag when he was a baby! It was full of stains and what looked like bananas and had to go =)

Haven't held on to a box since, lol!

I actually do the same, except I use cardboard boxes instead to give each bag inside more room (to prevent denting and creasing).

So I put the cardboard boxes all in my closet like a jigsaw puzzle since some bozes are bigger than other. They're rather hard to get to, especially if I want to take a bag from the bottom of the stack. But this helps me save room and also keeps the bags looking new.

When I used to have a big bag collection, the bags I liked fit into IKEA shoe boxes - the ones with a clear front so I could see exactly what the bag was. When I didn't need them any more, they unzip and fold up and take up no room.

This is a photo of what one looks like with a bag in it and one with my dustbags stored in it, and how they look folded. I no longer have a collection of bags, but I still have the IKEA boxes...

IKEA has even nicer 'shoe boxes' now, with clear fronts. I love the velcro 'closure', I love the hard-sided sturdiness, the breatheability (they are not plastic), and - well, if you have bags that will fit in them, it's a great organizational idea.

I have a label machine thing for my daugher's school stuff and I print out a label and stick it to any boxes I keep (mainly H because I love the orange colour!!). Otherwise I have any bags in their dust bags lined up next to each other and I know which dustbag is which. My problem is I don't have enough shelves in my closet and some of my bags are up quite high - I have to get step ladder to reach them!

BTW, Indiaink, I love the Ikea shoe boxes - I might get some of those. Why do you not have a collection anymore?

Thanks for your kind words!! I just bought 3 2x2 shelving systems from Ikea, and stacked them on top of each other to make the L shape, really easy to do! I wanted to put individual spotlights for each of the units too.. but I'm not opening a shop and would be wasting electricity anyways, LOL.

Oh those shelves look beautiful!! I love how your wall is bright pink and the black color shelves just go so well with it. Love it...especially the L shape! Now, I want to get some for my closet. I can't image they are from ikea.
